And ortiz went around on that 2-1 pitch. And the two final strikes were fucking strikes.
Go yanks!!

Was ball 4
It was a strike. The ball catches the front corner of the plate on the 3rd base side. It looked worse than it was. But did catch the front corner.
I was talking about the strike out pitch. McCann did an awful job framing the pitch before but it caught some plate.
Broke the 86-yr curse. Earned his place in baseball history. Still might get a game or two suspension (2 reduced to 1, maybe) for tantrum tonight though.

McCann was crossed up. Gamecast had that pitch in the strike zone.
Why was Farrell still in the dugout? He was thrown out of the game and came out of the dugout after fatso got tossed.

That caught too much plate, IMHO.
Gonna catch shit here, but you guys sound like conspiracy theorists.

We agree then. The strike out pitch was low.
Ortiz has probably had the biggest impact on MLB the last 10 years. I hated and still hate the witch hunt that selig facilitated but if any player should be examined thoroughly it's Ortiz.
Fuck David Ortiz. He's a fraud. I'll never believe anything else.

As it should be? Are you fucking kidding me? His "farewell tour" can kiss my ass. No one outside of New England is going to miss that scumbag.

MLB will do everything possible to protect Papi on his farewell tour. As it should be IMO.

There kissing his ass all over the league this year. Will at Yankee stadium too during the last series.
You guys have some recent experience with guys on farewell tours. You know how it works.

Strike three was Low? It was thigh high, not close to low.
Probably good for a fine, maybe a game or two vacation

Don't compare Jeter & Mo to Ortiz, just don't.

Strike 2 was a strike and Ortiz acted like a moron but strike 3 was low.
Whatever. That's your opinion, but he's got the one he's got.
Do you think they'll suspend him a game or two for tonight?
Looked pretty scary.

Should be suspended for the same amount of games A-Rod was suspended
Here's is probably the greater player, Mo, too, but Ortiz broke an 86-yr curse.
Unique place baseball history.

That's how I saw it. Even the NESN feed's pitch tracker showed that strike 2 clipped the zone. I loved watching Ortiz throw a tantrum though. Fuck that guy.

Your opinion (and mine). But it's not where McCann catches it, its where it crosses the plate.
You cannot look at a pitch that close after showing up the ump. You know anything close was going to be a strike.
But as I said earlier, why was Farrell still in the dugout? He should get a couple games suspension.

Old news. I really don't know what happened. Maybe you do. Or not.
Either way, that isn't happening.
Do you think he'll get suspended a game or two for tonight? I'd do it I think if it were my call, but I think MLB will want to protect him if they can.
Didn't quite lose it like he did the time he destroyed the telephone. But pretty outrageous nonetheless.
Scary for kids I think.
Great passion! He's just having fun out there

WHICH PODCAST??? I need something to listen to instead of Joe and Evan talk about only their teams for an entire show and met fans calling in with trade offers in May???
When Betances struck out Ramirez with his slider McCann caught the ball well off the plate but the question was did it clip the plate before McCann received it. The overhead replay had it a tick off the plate but I guess to Ron Kulpa's eye it caught some of the plate.
How often do you hear it said that because the catcher was set up on one side of the plate but the pitcher missed the catchers target and even though it got a lot of the plate on the other side the umpire called it a ball. Not all umpire work that way. It's where the ball crosses the plate and not where the catcher receives it.
It looked as bad as anything but that ball had plenty of the plate and credit Kulpa for not being afraid to call it that way. Shoot, the 2-1 pitch he called a ball was practically right down Broadway. Miller even questioned it. And Papi's check swing may have been called a strike if it were the likes of Gregorious at plate.
He's a red sock. They don't follow rules.

I'm not telling you guys who to like or hate on your own team, but players having been grab-assing before the game for years (and it does bother me too - especially the joking on the bases - you get to 1b and you have to converse with the 1b), but it knows no bounds. Almost universally you hate the other team more than the players do.
