We were shifting and no one was close to third.

Sucks across the board. Until we get out from under all of those ancient contracts, it's really not worth watching.

What good is this great Bullpen if you can't score runs. Fuck Hank and Hal, and fuck where this team is going.

It's a throw away year
Jeever : 5/6/2016 7:34 pm : link
We have over 90 mil coming off the books in the next couple of years. We most likely will be sellers late in the year and could bring in some nice young prospects for one of our bullpen pieces.
So what ailment

Just a horrible contract/ Only thing Ellsbury does better than Gardner is steal, for 3 x the contract price.

we have at least 3 years before we can start to get emotional about the Yanks again. With the Steinboys leading, we will be lucky if we have hope in 3 years. What a mess.

the contracts are not the problem. This is MLB, not NBA- there is no salary cap.

Thinking you are going to tap the potential of other team's failures (Headley, Eovaldi, Didi),thinking that you are going to make something of other team's failed #1 picks (Hicks, Ackley), constructing a pitching staff from the 9th inning backwards, getting a rep for overhyping farm players so no one will even look at them in a trade, those are among the issues.
I was going to tune in to watch this Yankee "offense"

There is nothing wrong with Didi or Eovaldi. Didi is a very good SS and Eovaldi is at worst entertaining. his stuff is too good to ignore.

The problem is Beltran useless in the field, ARod seems to have slowed down this year, Ellsbury is constantly hurt, Teix still has a great glove but is wildly inconsistent at the plate. Bad contracts and ancient over the hill players...

Jackass thinks he's entitled to a "check swing" no matter how far past the plate he ends up.
I thought they were both strikes.

The first one knicked the plate. The second one was more questionable.

Either way, fuck that fat slob.

But for us, we got a bonus tantrum.

It was a strike. The ball catches the front corner of the plate on the 3rd base side. It looked worse than it was. But did catch the front corner.

Fuck his squeaky clean cool image. Fuck Boston. Fuck that whole fan base in the face.

And ortiz went around on that 2-1 pitch. And the two final strikes were fucking strikes.

I was talking about the strike out pitch. McCann did an awful job framing the pitch before but it caught some plate.

MLB will do everything possible to protect Papi on his farewell tour. As it should be IMO.

Broke the 86-yr curse. Earned his place in baseball history. Still might get a game or two suspension (2 reduced to 1, maybe) for tantrum tonight though.
They've always been "protecting"

McCann was crossed up. Gamecast had that pitch in the strike zone.
Somebody was questioning
section125 : 5/6/2016 10:31 pm : link
strike three on Ortiz? He was so cranked there was no way he could the bat off his shoulder.
Why was Farrell still in the dugout? He was thrown out of the game and came out of the dugout after fatso got tossed.
