In my opinion, Washington is the only team that possesses a serious mismatch against us.... Jordan Reed.
We have no answer for him currently on our team.
Who would you say?
Reed is a fair answer....when he manages to stay on the field
I didn't even think about the defensive side... good point. Cox is very tough to manage. With Jim Schwartz in house, Eagles could arguably have the best defense in the division.
The eagles have talons and speed but they are not a great threat vs a Giant.
The Redskins have tomahawk and bow and arrow. The bow and arrow is more of a threat due to range, but I am not sure how much damage they could inflict on a Giant. (See last episode of Game of Thrones)
The Cowboys have rifles and six-shooters. I would have to say that the Cowboys are the most dangerous.
League wide I would have to say that the only team that would really concern me would be the Titans
RE: RE: You watched NFL's Top 100 players last night
How about the Bears? They are big, hairy and strong. I would also imagine the Jets could drop a lot of bombs on a giant. Vikings, especially Nordic, could be dangerous As well
Imo Witten is not a threat looking at our current roster, last year we didnt have the players. Witten is not longer a dominant mismatch to anyone. Ertz could develop into one but that is yet to be seen.
3rd downs and QBs have also been a mismatch for the Giants - after giving up 47% of the opposition's third down attempts last year and having one of the worst average times in the NFL in getting to QBs before they get a pass off
considering last years roster in my question. With the current roster as is I don't see Witten or Ertz as true threats. With the safety depth back, Thompson, Apple, linebacker upgrades, a back nine Witten and average Ertz in a new offense does not scare me the same Reed does being a true mismatch, top 3 TE in his prime.

I understand why you say this - but there were no significant upgrades at linebacker yet that would dispell the notion that the Giants are a TE feast - and until the Giants show otherwise - opposing TE's are still an overall issue.

K. Robinson is a coverage upgrade compared to any JAG we fielded last year... Against spread teams our 3 safety look will definitely minimize TE plus plays. Barring a serious injury rash like last year I don't see average TE's having any success or above average TE's completely dominating us in comparison to a year ago. Just my opinion.
At this point in the season any defense or offense on any team could prove to be wonderful or awful. And it happens EVERY season, the predictions come in, and 90% of the time, they're wrong.

Are you fucking kidding me? Still does what he wants against the Giants and any other team he plays against

Ha, hmmm. Maybe the dolphins, if he had friends, and caught you in the water?
...here are Romo's passer ratings in regular season games against Spagnuolo: 128.5, 123.1, 113.7, 107.3 (STL), 123.8 (NOR), and 103.3.
Spags did find a way to shut him down in the divisional playoff in January 2008.
Big part of that was Dallas insisting on pounding the ball with Marion Barber for large stretches of the first half. Dallas realized the mismatch in that game was their o-line against the Giants d-line. Take that advantage away from Spagnuolo, he's basically been helpless his entire career as a DC. That's why it made sense to go heavy on the d-line this off-season. I wanted him replaced but once they decided to keep him, it was smart to try and re-create his success.
So it is hard to say. Going by the way the team is constructing, it may eventually be the Dallas Oline. We keep hearing about it being a passing league and the emphasis on pass rushers and secondary. Assuming that is where they will continue to invest resources, the Dallas OLine is going to present challenges.
you are on the clock this year my friend, the GM spent
big bucks for your defense. Lets not live in the past,
his resume has hardly been sterling since leaving
here in 2008.
Since then, he has two historically bad defenses.
You can talk about the talent or whatever, keep in mind
that no one asked to interview Spags while he was still with the Ravens. The one exception was the Giants.
I am not saying I dislike him, time to put up or leave,
you won't be back if your defense doesn't do it's job this
year. Hopefully that won't happen!

Newhouse, for whatever reason, can not block him. When he bullrushes, he drives Newhouse right back into Eli's lap. Every damn time! The guy looks like an All Pro when he faces us
is the only thing that makes me nervous..May not answer the question, but of all the teams in the division, ONLY Dallas with Romo, makes me uncomfortable..
He scares me the most in the division. Desean Jackson has authored some of the worst memories for Giants fans. He's got to be up there as far as mismatches go.

Yessir lol

Yet to be seen on Ertz? Did you happen to watch the week 17 game last year - the one that Ertz went 9 for 150?

Yup, until proven otherwise, that's the pick
Romo vs. NYG 2007-2015 (regular season, 15 games, 9-6):
513 Att. 352 Comp. 68.6 Pct. 4,155 YD 39 TD 16 INT
Romo vs. NYG 2013-2015 (5 games, 5-0):
181 Att. 130 Comp. 71.8 Pct. 1,407 YD 14 TD 5 INT

Yep.
That's a wicked snatch attempt, but him going to one knee negates it.
