can never improve. Jacksonville is the Siberia of the NFL. Five years in a row they have had a top 5 pick and they never get better.
Watching the draft it was hilarious to see the reaction from Jack and Ramsey when the Jags picked them. Happy for the money but really sad for their careers.
and the recovery from arthroscopic surgery can be pretty short, but even "simple" arthroscopic surgery is tough on a knee.
I've had two arthroscopic procedures, one for a meniscus tear and one for an ACL. According to the people who worked on me, the saline solution they pump into your knee during arthroscopy isn't good for the living tissue inside the joint, and your knee can only withstand being "drowned" during arthroscopy so many times. It doesn't matter if the tear is small and the procedure is a simple debridement.
He can choose repair instead of debridement, but the recovery time for repair is much longer. The good news for the team is that there's still time for him to recover from a repair and play this season. The bad news is he'd miss crucial reps in OTCs and training camp.
I think that's not a fair characterization. Especially with franchises like Cleveland and Buffalo in the league. The first 10 years of their existence the franchise was improbably successful. They are a bottom half team lately, but with injury luck they could be very good this year.

No it's fair. Watching that franchise from afar and near when I lived in the area makes me realize that the NFL revenue system is indeed a socialist one.
That organization has bad luck but they are ran like shit from a business operations POV and I can still think of better regions that franchise should be located. No wonder the NFL was pushing the blackout rule for that team.
Florida having three NFL franchises never made much sense IMO.
Well Ramsey got a second opinion and that second opinion is
Yes, they sucked for quite a few years, the old owner hung onto an inept GM for too many years. But the new owner and management seem to be gradually building a contender. I've heard a couple NFL people on Sirius predict the Jags could win their division this year.
And contrary to the perception outside the region, the Jags fanbase is pretty loyal despite a crappy team. It's a very small market, with a big stadium built for the FL-GA game, so you can't fault them for not selling 80,000 seats every week. They've covered some seats for Jag games and haven't had a blackout in about 5 years. And despite a bad team, they've sold more seats than about 5-6 other teams in larger markets.
don't know how long ago you lived in or near Jax, but things have changed in the last 3-4 years since ownership changed. The new owner, Kahn, has put quite a lot of money into the stadium and is putting quite a lot into the surrounding neighborhood with an Amphitheater, etc. The team also seems to have good management in place, finally. Their last 2-3 drafts were significantly better than the previous 7-10; they finally may have a franchise QB, quality receivers, etc. And they brought in some quality FAs.
unlike some of the other small market teams, Jacksonville and the region is growing, not shrinking. And they have a relatively new stadium which has been upgraded in the last couple years. They now have the largest jumbotron in the NFL. Take that, Jerrah!

Hate to say it but I think you are right
It's tough Bc his measurables and play were insane

That's EXACTLY what I said, but was told by BBI it was a long time ago and didn't matter.
Right.

Yikes.

Read WF again. All it says is that a second opinion COULD say he'd be out that long. Doesn't say he's already gotten the opinion.
I don't mean to be snarky. The sentence you read is somewhat clumsily written. But there's no second opinion yet. Stay tuned.

Bortles is good though & should continue to improve.
