What does BBI say about her? Yes? No? Funny? Overrated? Saw her for free a while ago and eh, she has never "taken it to the next level. Same old shit."...I'm in the "go away" category as of right now.
(I think the pics or GTFO goes out the window here)
Holy shit. I thought people were slagging off Single Jewish Women. I didn't understand what that had to do with anything. Social Justice Warrior.
In the end, I prefer my comics to be... funny. That she is.
I hope your wife leaves you for someone younger and better looking. It won't take much for her to find someone smarter; that much I'm confident of.
because I just see her as a below mediocre comedian getting more notice simply because she is a woman? I saw Ellen more than 10 years ago do stand up in New York and I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did but her stand up was phenomenal and her wit was surprisingly great.

I really like some of her earlier special. I don't watch her show religiously, but the skits I do catch I tend to like (and she has some real gems in there also).
It's also dissapointing how any discussion about her devolves into "shes fat vs no shes not" or "i'd fuck her vs i'd never fuck her". I get that her act often involves sex but still...
Sorry if I offended you, I'll see if I can locate a safe space.
Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit. Where did I say I was offended in my post?
I'm not offended, and this stupid "safe space offended SJW PC" collection of garbage buzzwords is so played out and cliche at this point.
The reason it's disappointing is that a large segment of her work is literally lampooning this exact mindset (e.g. the last fuckable day skit), so its somewhat ironic when people don't realize and play right into that.
Funny how everyone wants to rail against "PCs" and "SJWs", or locate "safe spaces" until someone says something that pisses them off. Criticize the police on BBI and you'll ave a collection of posters ready to jump down your throat, some of whom are quick to criticize "PC" culture and "offended" people.
you are by far the most sensitive poster here, but that's what I like about you. I do worry you're afraid to go outside though (which is just my imagination of what you are like and may not be true at all.) You'll always have a safe space in our hearts.
idk wtf this even means or remember ever interacting with you on this board, but okay, whatever
Yeah, I avoid the interaction.
When AS talks about sex, it makes me think of her and I want to vommit.
When WC talks about it, it makes me think of her and I want to be there.
I find it hard to believe that you would kick her out of bed.

She's fat and I wouldn't do her.
Of course you would.

Ellen is very good. Great delivery.

To the poster who was talking about flaming out:
I don't think Sarah silverman is irrelevant, as she's still well known and active in comedy circles. I don't really get why any Schumer is so divisie, tbh. She was probably funniest when she was on mark hoppus's show.

That's pretty damning. Most of this is barely even updated for her own act.
This site has much uglier people on it than she could ever be, as evidenced by this thread.
Possibly deteriorated. She was never particularly modest, but I think she has gotten a little full of herself. Sort of I'm great and funny because I'm me.

Thanks for sticking up for my sense of humor.
Yeah, I agree. She's gotten a bit obnoxious.

I wonder how often this happens in stand up circles
Joe Rogans take on it.

I have to give her credit though. If anyone watches her show, she does some good interviews with people who normally don't get to share their side (a woman with down syndrome, a sociopath etc).

Thanks for the link, going to have a listen. Joe Rogan was also the driving force behind everyone knowing Carlos Mencia was stealing jokes too
Stealing a bit is a problem. Having the same concept? Come on. Having ONE very similar joke in a bit will happen. It's the nature of comedy.
I agree he's better as an MMA announcer/show host than a stand-up.
With Mencia though, he was standing up for a group of his friends and was the only one to get in Mencia's face about it. Haven't listened to the above link yet, but I can't say anything negative about him for standing up to Mencia.
I honestly don't care about who's stealing jokes from who, but at least be consistent.

comics dont own concepts. The idea that you sleep while someone else works out for you is not original to some comic in the last few years. It's a concept that a lot of regular people imagine for themselves.

Except just about every one of those bits in the video is almost exactly the same as the original. Little to nothing was changed. so, it hardly qualifies as an original idea that someone else also had.
From the stuff I've seen, I'd like to see the explanation for the Patrice ONeal stuff. But the slapping food or sleeping gym stuff? That's just the concept. Shoot, the Rogan thing says that the paying a man to take the food out of your mouth was on the Flintstones.

Apparently Mencia would go to shows with a notepad and write jokes down. And then steal them.
But yeah, I think some of it has to do with her being likable.

Coming up with almost identical jokes to such a wide variety of different comedians seems too far fetched to be a coincidence.
"@MrChuckMartin: So maddening. You and @kathleenmadigan should talk. https://t.co/xcCxVgFdea" wow. Finally. Get ready for a shitstorm.

What has always been amazing to me is that she purports to be a feminist and yet only steals from other female comedians. If we call her on

Stealing jokes is a timeless tradition - it's why we know who Dennis Leary and Robin Williams are...

Does being ugly negate your right to have opinions about certain things? BBI is not a safe space space for ugly people.
You do realize I wasn't talking about looks, right?

Negate? No, people can hold dear to whatever opinions they believe. Some opinions, quite frankly, are plenty ugly
You do realize I wasn't talking about looks, right?
I'm not their demographic though. I'm not usually laughing at the sex and vulgarity humor because too often there seems to be too little intellectual stuff. It's the same as scat humor. Just saying the words makes it funny, except to me, there needs to be more than that and there seldom is.
Re: Madigan - also deleted the tweets. Has not retracted her accusation that I'm aware of, but the supposedly stolen material landed in her CC show, not her stand-up act. Which leaves open the possibility that one of her writers appropriated it without Schumer's knowledge.
has it just me or did he look weird in that movie, almost like he was animated.
