player Etan Thomas claims racism after being denied a seat on a train by a white woman. Interesting story here - and i'm a bit torn. I know Etan and he was roomates with one of my former teammates. He's a smart, bright guy but I wonder if this is really racially motivated or the woman just didn't want a huge 6'10" guy sitting next to her. Now her picture is all over the internet as a possible racist when that might not have been her motivation for doing what she did.

Of course, Etan Thomas could've been a jerk and simply sat there anyway.
And maybe it was racially motivated. Probably it was. But, the internet shaming where all these clowns will track down her social media accounts and call her a whore until the account is shut down and they all applaud eachothet is just as pathetic, IMO. It doesn't help anybody. It doesn't make the situation better.
This trend of Public shaming ruins lives based on situations we have no clue as to what actually happened. People have lost jobs, friends, family members, leases etc. because of public shaming on the internet. It bothers me to no end. You get one side of a story and conclude that person is evil.
Some situations have even been debunked and the perceived perpetrators still cant get a job because everytime their name is googled that shit pops up. The apology never does. Their reply and explanation never does. Its sad that people need to bash and judge others to feel good about themselves. Even the stuff that was done to the Lion hunter was absolutely pathetic. Calling his house and leaving threats, posting where he and other family members live and work. Its horrible.

I agree, Matt. Well said. At the very least she is a selfish liar. I always move my stuff when I see the bus is getting full and anybody may choose to sit next to me. But when it is a large person I do my best to discourage them by making myself look like I take up a lot of room.
I just don't believe that she deserves to be called a racist over the internet where thousands will see her picture based on his account of the incident. Hers may be very different and we'll never hear it.
