Q: What was your first experience like out there with the veterans and the rookies all together?

A: It was a fun time just getting acquainted, running around there with the guys. It was fun.

Q: What was it like to practice against Odell Beckham Jr.?

A: It was interesting, for sure. He runs his routes well. He’s a fast guy. It was fun going against him. They didn’t throw the ball his way when I was going against him, but you can tell with his explosiveness and how he gets out of breaks. It’s impressive.

Q: Did you deter them from throwing the ball his way?

A: I don’t think it was anything like that. I was kind of on him a little bit. I was just trying to play to my help, but I don’t know if it was that. You’re going to have to ask Eli that one.

Q: What are your personal goals during these OTA’s for your improvement?

A: Just making sure I communicate and making sure I’m just out there doing the right thing on defense and doing the right plays. Just make sure I’m communicating over and over again with the other guys and trying to get used to everything.

Q: Have you heard anything from the veterans about first round stuff?

A: What do you mean ‘first round stuff’?

Q: Just kidding around about you?

A: A little bit. My coach has mentioned that a lot to me, just telling me I have to bring him some stuff. I’m cool with that. I already brought him some stuff. I’m bringing more stuff probably this week.

Q: What does stuff mean?

A: Just snacks, honey buns and candy.

Q: You started already?

A: Yeah. I’ll do a little bit more this week.

Q: What did you think of playing in the slot?

A: It was interesting. It was just different from the outside. You have to communicate a lot more. You’ve just got to make sure you’re noticing everything on the field.

Q: Is it going to be as big of an adjustment as you might have thought it was?

A: It’s not going to be an easy adjustment, for sure. I’m going to have to be in my playbook every day, talking to my coach and trying to pick the brain from other guys and get more experience out there.

Q: When a guy like DRC isn’t here, does that help you because you get more reps?

A: Getting more reps is definitely not a bad thing at all because you get more experience. You just naturally get more comfortable, but it will definitely be good to have him out there just so you can communicate a little bit and I can talk to him and pick some things off of him because I know he’s a great corner.
