While driving into work this morning on Howard 101 listening to Sternthology, the infamous cookie puss came on. Never gets old.
"I hate fudgie the whale. Now that Tom Carverl is dead I can show my true colors".
Fred got so pissed off that Howard told Robin he was afraid to go to commercial.
Such a classic Stern moment.

Gary's tape is great because of the regular fans in the audience. At one point Howard just cracks up and says "What are you guys, professional comedians!"
That, and when he would talk about how scary Fred is.
I always thought he'd distance himself from that raunchy aspect of the show and really build the "best interviewer of all time" brand. Figured he'd only work once or twice a month and it'd always be an event, with him interviewing a high-profile name going through a high-profile ordeal. The show would always be there, but I thought he'd go out strictly as the master interviewer.
Heard one of those moments driving home from work yesterday. They were both doing Johnny Carson impersonations. Robin couldn't get a word in.
I loved the news with Gilbert, especially when Jackie was there. The timing and wit of those three was impeccable in the 90s.

The guy has to work. They'll have to pry the mic out of his hand.
Remember that movie about the love of his life, who he'd do anything for? He chose radio over her.
Its the type of story Artie needs to tell. When I relay it, the story doesn't go over the same.
One thing I greatly miss about the Artie days is how unpredictable the show became. Happy or angry, Artie could do anything on any given day that would be epic. I never missed a show then. I was afraid Id miss something.
I still enjoy the show, but I miss that aspect of it. The craziness has subsided since his departure.
Quote:
He seemed like a guy dedicated on cementing his legacy without any racist undertone to it. Fans of the show know he's the farthest thing from racist, but Gary the Retard is a term that doesn't fly these days. Changing the name to Gary the Conquerer just reminds me people of the name he once had.

This. He's a hypocrit and a sellout. Everything he always claimed he hated. Americas Got Talent was the pinnacle of how far he's fallen. Doesn't mean he's not still funny but his hypocrisy got to me years ago.
