NFT: Gord Downie has terminal cancer

One of my favorite bands.

Downie, the lead singer and lyricist of the iconic Canadian rock band the Tragically Hip, announced this morning he has terminal brain cancer, but still plans to join his bandmates of more than 30 years for a summer tour.

definitely will add some extra gravity to these lyrics

Late breaking story on the CBC.
A nation whispers, we always knew that he'd go free.
They add, you can't be fond of living in the past
Cause if you are then there's no way you're going to last.

I've been to 35 Hip concerts over the years and am devastated over this news this morning.
