Why does NFL think fans care about SB locale announcements?

FranknWeezer : 5/24/2016 12:37 pm
Slight rant or whatever, but I swear my twitter feed has been nonstop today "Super Bowl city finalists down to 3," "Schefter on potential SB destinations," "X city aggrieved at lack of SB attention", etc. Getting sick of it.

Do we really care right now about where the SB will be held in 2018? Is this just the slow offseason rearing its head? Or does the NFL just like to hear itself talk? I don't think the NFL/media understand that joe blow fan may never make a SB in his/her life, and unless it's happening in our backyard and directly affecting us, most of us don't give a rip where it's held. We just care whether our team is playing in it. Anybody agree? [/rant]
What were the cities

you can't leave us on pins and needles like this. anticipating which cities are in the running and which aren't happy with the neglect.

that's cruel.

Going to a live Superbowl is on my bucket list. Now that Atlanta should get one of the next ones. I can plan on saving up and going. Since I live in Atl I can spend on the ticket and go since I wont have to worry about travel, hotel and food.

By the way seeing the Giants in a Superbowl is my other one. Lets hope Giants are in the Superbowl for the Atl Superbowl. that would be two birds with one stone!!!
It's news. It's also May.

what other reason do non-training camp attendees and OTA enthusiasts have to talk about the league?
I am always excited to find out

Instead of news about OTAs, new rules, etc. I wait to find out where I won't be able to get tickets, afford a hotel, etc. It's important to plan what city will be on TV when I tune in for the Super Bowl in a year or two.

To clarify, if anyone cares, in the years 2019, 20 and 21 respectively.

I don't care anymore since both of my NFL connections are now retired but for 30 years it was important info for proximity planning for my family.

It would also be important to businesses that travel with the Super Bowl as well as businesses in the locale that they choose.

But to address the obvious point, since when does the NFL care about Joe Blow?
