to me in limited practice. I think that is a good, young group to get some real players from.
I saw that too and dug up some old highlight stuff from him on Youtube from his GA days. He can stick and be a 4th pain in the ass type, sort of a Manningham lite. He's got good burst, he's very very smooth in and out of breaks and he can separate in a hurry. His hands are very suspect and he's not a real threat over the middle, he looks much more confident outside than he does dancing in the slot. I think he has to do something on specials to make the 53, but he absolutely has the ability to get up top and do it quickly.
and Cruz to come back healthy and they will be in great shape at WR.
Maybe it'll be different with McAdoo, but the last 2 years a young guy has stepped up and made the team (Washington, Davis) and was never heard from again.
And he knows it and the Giants know it and they are letting him get a paycheck and help mentor the yoots until it's time for IR/Release.
Then why go through the trouble of restructuring his contract? Why create this elaborate offseason-long cover up if they already reached a conclusion? I don't think they know anything different than they knew before.

I think you are really very wrong on who knows what. He may in fact be finished, but only after the next time he has a notable injury. The Giants are on the hook for big money anyway. If he was done, they would have cut him. There is some savings if he gets cut after June 1st.
Everyday that tendon stays attached it gets stronger and probably more flexible and less likely to tear.

I know nothing, it's more a hunch that after all this time at his age that the inevitable is expected and they are hoping for a miracle. If he was healthy he'd be working. I think the words have been spoken enough, that anything we get is a bonus. His presence I think is why he's there right now, and if he heals up, giddyup, I just don't think two major lower leg injuries for a speed/quickness guy bode very well. It's the lower leg stuff that has absolutely done in some guys we expected more out of all the way back to Hakeem Nicks, then Beason, Schwartz, now Cruz all had significant knee and then below the knee issues in successive years and it wiped them out.

Joey, the calf was not a major injury. It was a nuisance. Behre had the same injury and had it done in Aug or Sept. Cruz lingered to late Oct or Nov. So that two month difference gets him to July.
I know nothing either and am a bit wary, but I still think every month he's away from the patella surgery, the better it gets.
I will say this, the Giants find new and weird ways to injure themselves.

I'm no expert and don't have numbers to back it up but "IF" a player comes back from a serious injury, it seems to be during their 2nd full year. I could be wrong but I think getting him back last year was too unrealistic (unless your Peterson). This is the year that will determine his future I think. He won't be the old Victor Cruz but he could still be a reliable receiver that can still break a tackle or two.
it will be on a snap count as I don't think he will be an every down receiver.
The key to the group is Sterling Shepard, if he can pick up most of the playbook, I'd expect him to start opposite OBJ from week 1 and never look back, the kid is very talented.
We know 2 things that are problematic for a WR. He is really short, can't hide that, and his 40 time was terrible for a tiny WR.
Nothing from college indicates he can even approach Harris's floor as a returner.
So his only spot is a slot WR. If he is literally better than anyone else there by some margin, he makes the roster. Otherwise his limitations make even the PS unlikely.
PS - Powe and Maye.
PS - Powe and Maye.
That sounds right to me, except I haven't seen enough of Maye to have a view on him.
Worthless.
We have to see him out on the field when real practice finally begins.....if they are overly cautious then, it has to be a red flag.....
