After a few days of thinking on the ending, a question popped up in my head: what period of time was Bran in when he ran into the white walkers? Was he doing a lateral shift and seeing them in the present? If it was in the past, wouldn't he have been 'marked' all along meaning the cave was never safe?

I haven't seen anything like that in the last thread or this one.
No, it was in the book thread. but at this point we're all guessing, the books are pretty much done.
I just figured it was theory like so many of the wikis or reddit sites about the show. I was wrong, it was legit spoilers.
Also, the person who does the translations of the show into other languages allegedly shared the plot with many people prior to airing of The Door and that found it's way online.
Damn. Well that sucks. I would have never clicked on a link like that in the first place though. If you know what happens specifically please do not share.

this was last Sunday, before The Door episode, I haven't seen any spoilers for Blood of my Blood (this Sunday's episode). And if I do see a link I'm not following it.
2) Joff was still Tommen's brother even if he was a jerk. I'm sure Tommen would be upset. He seemed too put together when he was about to reveal whatever secret to Cersei.
Loras would of had to have known and he divulged it when they were "breaking" him. Only possible way it works.
If you are going by just WTF moment where a big name dies in a cool way, then maybe, but I don't see this season topping some of its predecessors, certainly not unanimously. Season 1-3 were fantastic and season 6 needs a lot of work to come close, IMO.
2

If I was ranking them with 6 having a very good chance to come in number one after its all over.
Loris and Margery are so close if Loras wasn't gay they would be like Jamie and Cersi. They have shared sexual partners She adores him of course she told him about Joffery and he broke in interrogation by the Septan.
He the told Tommen knowing he would tell Cersi.(is the HS a Baelish?) he knows how to play the game.
Tommen didn't seem upset? He was practically shaking.
Cersi refuses to look directly at the Queen of Thorns in the small chamber meeting and Jamie is almost too friendly like he is before he double crosses you.
Cersi also interrupted the Old guy telling Tommen about his enemies outside the walls and within. Cersi looked like she wanted to kill the old fool right there. And of course when we hear the Rains of Castimire playing we know the lanisters are about to fuck someone up.
Since the have been opening with vital scenes first I imagine we meet BenJen Stark right away.
Makes a ton of sense, really... Don't think word has made it to him that his daughter and new born son are dead...
Would make for a great scene!
"An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam's (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce)."
She was asked whether she decided she'd join them and her answer was "A girl has decided" (I'm paraphrasing). I thought it was left open-ended what that meant.
I think she could absolutely abandon them.
Yeah, synopsis... Sorry about that... The old foe line has been bothering me for days... We've been discussing who it could be...

"Assassins" are fucking stupid. The logic behind it is horrible. Worst part of the show IMO. My guess is that Arya is going to have to murder somebody she loves and will break the vow and essentially all of this was to make her a bad ass fighter.

She will. It just won't happen until a "hit" comes pretty close to home. I'm guessing she kills that bitch who has a vandetta against her on the way out the door too.
I just really hate the logic behind the "many face God", ect. Seems like a shitty religion to to take hits out on anyone and everyone for money regardless of who they are.

Agreed. I think she is going to turn on them. I remember in the first trailer for this season they showed her jumping off a building. She is probably running away to flee Braavos and return to Westeros.
Good guesses on the old foe. Could very well be the hound or walder frey
- Lord of the light
- Gods of the forest
- Many face god
- Drowned god
- Great Stallion
- Great Shepard
Am I missing any?
Z, the Old gods are the same as the gods of the forest. That is the religion the North and beyond the wall still worship, including the Stark's.
The Great Shepard was shown in season one, where the Dothraki invaded another clan that worshiped rams\sheep. That's when Dany saved that witch, who in turn killed her baby and poisoned Khal as revenge.
Is Uncle Benjen the meaning for the title Blood of my Blood?
Or could it be just a bloody episode.
You can only rent/buy episodes on Amazon, something like $4 per episode or $30 per season. Best way to binge watch the series, is to sign up for HBO Go for a few months.
I re-watched seasons 1-5 in a little under 3 weeks, so you might only need it for a month or two.
Children of the forest do follow the same old gods of the forest as the Northern people.
My guess is that after the events of the Children creating the WW/Others, a peace was eventually reached between the First men and Children of the Forest where they showed respect by honoring their religion (Old Gods). I have a feeling that much like how it was revealed the Children created the WW/Others to fight against the First Men which they ultimately lost control of, someone/ something else in Essos probably created something similar with R'holler and the Lord of Light, seeing as they are two religions we are told have a history of war between each other. Maybe the First Men practiced some dark arts to create Rhollar to combat the Others.
That's why the wights were waiting under the snow for them back in season 4 when they got to the tree. And that's why the white walker army was able to get there so quickly after Bran was marked.
