is with heighten expectations! I am getting way too excited
I feel I am a pragmatic guy. maybe a little half full type....but seriously...How can you not get excited by these reports!
Reading that Collins is slimmer and quicker...today keeping up with OBJ, the safeties picking off passes, Jenkins and DRC doing what is expected, Apple and Sterling as advertised.....JPP flying around.
G.Davis and the "other" WRs are stepping up.
I understand...what should we really expect in shorts.....
But just imagine:
G.Davis gives us "R.Randle" without the wrong routes....Sterling/Cruz manned the slot as a real threat....which can only help OBJ. Plus depth.
The defensive backfield does what is expected....We have 3 very talented corners, a highly touted Safety in Collins and a bunch of hungry youngster that seem to be very opportunistic.
The defensive front 4 potentially can be the best in the NFL. I know much is based on the last 8 games played by OV....but just watch that game against Dallas. Simply Amazing!
Hankins & Snacks with Bromley looking bigger and stronger. I even like our 4th/5th DTs....
The LBers are not as exciting no matter how many are on the field.... but I can not imagine they can be worse. Kennard staying healthy. Last years FA should play faster with more comfort with the defense....and who knows this years new comers might surprise!
I know the OL could be a possible area of concern but all the starters are returning after ranking 8th....(which I feel the play calling had much to do with such a high ranking) But another year together can only help. Hart could step up....and we have cap if we need to add someone.
I know I need to stem my excitement.....but I am feeling really good that it is our year.
If I ever find out who you are I will hunt you down for jinxing the Giants.
I'm always overly optimistic and I think this team could make the playoffs this year...and once in the playoffs, absolutely anything can happen as a football takes funny bounces - an interception here and there - a missed tackle or two - a few fumbles - mixed in with a few bad calls and shazaam! virtually any team (as long as they're in the playoffs) can pull off the big trophy with a few bounces going their way.
I'm psyched!
in the season ...
Adams Perkins Davis ...
We Finally Stay Relatively Healthy ...
I agree.
But, reading the articles on Giants.com and seeing things Like "depth at WR can lead to a heated battle over the summer" and a lot of positives about the Secondary - even the rookies and younger guys - kind of gets your attention.
Sounds like J. Jenkins is earning his money and the ball hawk safety (Thompson) from Boise St continues to be a thief, .... and even Landon Collins had a couple of int.s and was described more than once as "running stride for stride" with OBJ.
All good stuff.
Or ever, in our case. So clearly we're due!
Agree there's nothing wrong with that. It's a time when all 32 teams are going to the super bowl
The cliche crew chimes in
If we make the playoffs on a hot streak, Eli has already proven that he can deliver the goods even with a 9-7 or 10-6 team.
Excited and nervous for McAdoo. He must delver playoffs this year or next or will not have longer tenure.
Why not compete this year? This is the NFL. Lots of talent everywhere. Lots of talent here. Roster competition will result in culture change, a new paradigm breaking coach and a little health could go a long way to creating a pretty good team.
Or things could go the other way. Don't want to think about those possibilities.
