NFT: New Monkees record

been listening to the new Monkees album

It is really really good .. they smartly hired a Producer (Adam Schlesinger) who didn't try to modernize their sound
and were able to get a great collection of songwriters to contribute to the record
River Cuomo - Weezer
Andy Partridge - XTC
Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller - Oasis and the Jam
and the found a few incomplete tracks from the 60s

all and all a really great record

Mickey Dolenz is still alive. The Monkees Theme, Last Train to Claksville, I'm a Believer, etc, they're all his.

We just heard that song walking out of a restaurant for lunch and someone commented about having all the Archies albums as a kid. Then he was trying to recall really how many albums there were.

Underrated based on imbeciles thinking the Monkees were the only band using studio musicians on their albums. Should be in the Hall of Fame.
