He is only 23yrs old in his 4th season. They say he wasn't a good teammate but, I know he had talent and Bled Giants Blue. He was cut for an incident with Cullen Jenkins, who was in the wrong and, should have never played for the Giants. Jenkins will most likely retire as an Eagle, His heart was with the Eagles. He exited the Giants organization without fanfare. The incident did effect team chemistry and the development of Moore.
The Giants drafted and groomed Moore for a position we still need to fill. Giants draft interest in FLOYD was a direct result, to replace Moore as a Pass Rusher.
Damontre Moore was interviewed several times after Giants games by the local television media, and the kid even apologized for this incident. He was effective and even nicknamed DaMONSTER. Moore was over zealous on a few plays last year, however the plays did not lose the game. He became frustrated and reacted, And it was blown out of proportion.
It didn't work out for Damontre Moore, but I wish it had. Because he had talent and truly didn't get a fair opportunity under Coughlin regime.

As for Moore, he presents an interesting irony. Oftentimes teams are criticized for drafting based on Combine performance as opposed to how well they play football. In Moore's case, he was a consensus All American in 2012 playing linebacker for Texas A&M, but performed badly in the Combines, able to do only 12 bench presses and only a 4.95 in the 40 (lowest among defensive linemen). Reese drafted him because of his performance on the football field. Unfortunately, he seems not to understand how to play at the pro level. It may be an intelligence issue rather than an effort issue.

Btw, the Giants cut him for a variety of reasons, including fighting with his teammates, and attempting to get fresh with opposing qbs after they got rid of their balls.
Since Miami didn't even see fit to include him on their 90 man off-season roster, and cut him four weeks ago, wouldn't it fall more on them if he turned out to be a superstar? Or might the Miami decision suggest that he either sucks or is still a headcase--as would it taking a month before the nuttiest team in football found space for him on their roster?
In any event, it is kinda difficult to find the Giants at fault if it took him all this time to find a spot on someone's 90 man roster after being cut a second time.
