Yeah so pretty much Durant has been off all game IMO and Klay Thompson jus tried the playoff record for 3-point shots made. But OKC is still up 5, basically midway 4th.
is a monster. His ability to catch and shoot so quickly is unbelievable. OKC did some things poorly at the end, but this game was about Klay's heroics in the fourth.
Got to watch it with family and friends here in Cali. We were living and dying with each shot. Klay, Steph, Draymond and Iggy were really the only ones who showed up for Golden State, with a bit of help at times from Barnes and Bogut.
I couldn't really hear the commentary. But I thought in addition to Klay and Steph going off, the real difference was the Warriors' defense. They were abused in games 3-4, giving up 72 points in the first half of each game. They hung tough this game, and Iggy was just amazing with his strips at the end.
Steph also got the last laugh (so to speak) with his game-ending steals.
Just some absolutely unconscious stretches of shooting. That deep three he hit from about 3 feet behind the arc was just stone cold. Covering up how garbage Draymond has been for the most part.
OKC lost that series last night. When they went up 3-1, I fully expected the Warriors to get one back to force a Game 6, but that was the one where OKC had to close out. Panicked down the stretch and some terrible possessions/turnovers. Can't see them winning Game 7 in Oakland.
Sucks because I was really pulling for OKC here and they had it right in their hands. Finals rematch, here we come! Should be a good series just will always dislike the fact that in a lot of seasons, you can call out a Finals series before a single game is even played. Makes everything in between feel sort of cheap.
Maybe OKC surprises me on Monday.. who knows. Can't see it, though.
Westbrook seemed unusually subdued down the stretch.
Durant was just atrocious, like reputation-tarnishing atrocious. I'll still take him, wonder if losing the series will make him more likely to leave OKC.
Yet OKC was in control for most of the game and GS barely squeaked out the W. OKC looks like the better team right now, I wouldn't be shocked at all if they won game 7.
What a clutch game from the Warriors. Klay was unreal, Iggy was great on D, Curry stepped up and iced the game at the end. They showed the heart of a champion. Cant wait for game 7.
Their relentlessness combined with their athleticism gives the Warriors problems. Adams and Westbrook in particular just give the Thunder so many extra possessions.

Pssssst... Not everyone has the forum set to 'Last Post'
So the thread from the 15th isn't at the top of everyone's mind
Durant goes off is Oakland, OKC in 7.
For the record... I never said that.
Agreed!

You didn't Dep. Actually, I don't really think anyone on this board did except for maybe Chris, who would obviously say that.

That's so magnanimous of you.
Klay put on a clinic - big time shots.
Who does one root for? The great floppers or the ball kickers?
I guess I will root for Cleveland, that city needs a break.

It's also just plain smart.

That... that is scary.
