NFT: Micheal Pineda has another banner day

How long can the Yankees go with this guy. How long as fans must we listen to the same old bullsshit about he has all the talent in the world he just has to learn how to grind it out. We have to find a way to get him right.

This is a more then a year and a half running with this guy. The night he was thrown out of the game in Boston with a swath of pine tar on his neck the size of a huge hickey in plain site for everyone to see was just one example of this guys mental make up. You think he'd be getting it by now or some part of it but no. He appears to be regressing.

Other then his sixteen strikeout game and his 5-0 start to last year he's done shit. The latitude the Yankees have given him has reached un Yankees like proportion. Shoot, Refsnyder comes up gets a couple of big hits and then gets sent back down because they have Aaron Hicks to handle hitting against lefties. Kid does nothing wrong and everything the Yankees ask and when he gets a chance does something good only to be sent back down.

Physically talented pitcher with a .05 cent head.
He will keep running him out there even though half the league
Shadow : 5/29/2016 8:04 am : link
knows he is tipping his pitches.
This is a Cashman thing boy I was so smart to get this guy for Jesus Montero(another bum). This guy is trash. Has been a bum forever playing for a paycheck remember when he came in to ST fat? The Pine Tar? This Guy is a moron. Sorry 6 man rotation but this fool needs to be put in the bullpen or trip in the shower.
Anyone know what Kaps

status is? Is he done for the year? What about Mason Williams is still a Yankee? Mitchell? Why is Ackley still on this team?
Pineda is a thrower
averagejoe : 5/29/2016 8:09 am : link
and not a pitcher. I have never seen anyone throw as many fastballs straight down the middle or hanging sliders down the middle. He has no idea how to pitch. His job is to throw the ball hard, get crushed, and make a lot of money.

I doubt he has any trade value and they won't send him down. Yanks are so thin he will stay in the rotation while getting his brains beat out.

You are so on the money. Ackley and Hicks have done shit for the most part. Why even develop these kids in the minors if you are going to bring in guys from other teams who are marginal if that at the best. They have nothing more to prove down there and are salivating at the chance for an opportunity to play at the major league level.

Refsnyder is the poster child for that. He may not be the fielder Hicks is but he hits and the Yankees will wait all year long to find out they should have just given Refsnyder the chance in the outfield rotation to hit against left handed pitchers instead of trading for Hicks a switch hitter who wanted to abandon it but talked back into switch hitting. The Yankees brought him here primarily for his right handed bat. He sucks.
Look at the bright side

Makes me feel shittier, but good post.

Lol I love the BBI MD diagnosis team. They had Tanaka missing 2 years as well. Must be an impostor pitching in his uni the last year and a half. Guys every tweak in the elbow doesn't necessarily mean TJ surgery. This is taken from NJ.com on April 26:
"The MRI came came out good for us," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said before his team opened a series against the Texas Rangers.

Better than good, actually. There's no tear, and this inflammation probably can be flushed out with a few weeks of downtime."
yep sounds like TJ surgery tomorrow...

That's a month ago So why isn't he throwing yet? Yankees never tell you the truth. been over two months since Mitchell got hit in the toe. Is that a gone for the year injury?

at this point i rather see Romine at first, he has hit very well, Ackley stinks
The organization seems to be cursed, I wouldn't be surprised one bit
Jim in Hoboken : 5/29/2016 10:41 am : link
if later down the line the Yanks announce he'll need TJS.

Did anybody see that Hensley needs another one as well?

Not only is the personnel dept terrible, the organization just seems to have terrible luck.

Now that Cashman can't buy his way to a winning record, maybe he'll start holding the player development people accountable.

For all we know he might be. They don't exactly give daily updates on A ball pitchers. Even if he isn't, do you really think its out of the ordinary to give a few weeks extra for your 22 year old pitcher's elbow to heal in May? On Mitchell they were very clear up front that it would be months. I'm not sure which analyst said it it must have been Leiter because he was a pitcher, but they said it was a very serious injury because it was his plant foot.
one thing we can all agree on:
Stu11 : 5/29/2016 12:07 pm : link
Pineda and Severino need to go somewhere together and have a catch for about a month
I see Phil Hughes is trying his best
xman : 5/29/2016 1:30 pm : link
to keep up with pineda's stellar performance.

Pineda migh have good control as far as lack of BB's but he isn't living off the black of the plate like a Greg Maddux
pineda is weak mentally
Tuckrule : 5/29/2016 1:41 pm : link
when things go well he cruises once he has a rough spot he falls apart. Mentally very very weak. Has the tools but he lacks discipline in his delivery. His control also at times get away from him. However you cut it still a great trade to get rid of montero his at the very least a 4th starter.
