Much better atbats lately. Patience and power baby. We need every bit of him.
Ha ha good for the Mets

Dodger fans have to getting tired of the Dodgers blowing games because of Roberts' continual over-managing.

If Collins had taken care of business in the first game with a 5-1 lead, then Thor does not have to do it on his own and does not get tossed and Mets maybe win the game.

He did nothing, settled nothing, and the game was lost. If you want to hit him, hit him. Scared of killing him? Buzz him. His heart was in the right place, I'll give him that.

The LA manager with a headscratcher.

David Wright from Newsday

Excerpt

Quote:
Rather than provide further details about what’s bothering Wright, Terry Collins said only that he is being treated with anti-inflammatory medication and will be re-evaluated in 48 hours. Unfortunately, with Wright, we’ve come to expect worst-case scenarios.

He wasn’t available to reporters before Sunday night’s game, and the only clue Collins supplied was that the neck pain may be linked to the shoulder stiffness that affected his throwing this month.

Walker was puzzled by slide call. If it was earlier in season, #Mets probably would have won challenge. But now more lenient.

So, essentially all MLB did was take away the neighborhood rule. You can tell that they are really looking out for the safety of the players. What a joke.
Why did LAD manager
5BowlsSoon : 5/30/2016 7:22 am : link
Take Kershaw out with a left hander coming up next with two out? Surely he could have lasted one more player.

Nevertheless, Met bullpen just as bad as Dodgers bullpen, so both teams struggled late. The best moment was watching Utley's bat get sawed off.
The Dodgers bullpen gave up one freaking hit

And the mets bullpen isn't bad...don't know what team you've

been watching if that's what you think.

Familia has been bad. He's been playing with fire all season and the wall was due to come crashing down at some point. Teams have been all over Familia all season and he was pretty damn lucky up until this Dodger series.

Decided to take a look at the thtead and saw this gem among all the others and I got a little confused since I was pretty sure that he was dominating. Looked it up real quick and yep... he has been. So no it's not bullshit. 2 awful games. Manager not even in the conversation as being an idiot to blame.

Prior to these two games....

Last 16 appearances:

15.1 inn
13 saves
12 ks
0 walks
11 hits
3 earned runs

So what the hell are you talking about?

LOL, right on cue
PhiPsi125 : 5/30/2016 10:25 am : link
So predictable
You're smoking dope if you think he's been dominant this season
timintey : 5/30/2016 10:53 am : link
24 IP
27 Hits (take out the last 2 games and it's 22 IP / 18 Hits)
11 ER
.278 BA

9 of his appearances (out of 25) he has allowed multiple hits.

I loved the guy last year but this year he makes you sweat more often than not. He has not been dominant. But keep on thinking that he has been. I hope he does get back to being so.
It's laughable to
Stufftherun : 5/30/2016 11:08 am : link
think that Familia has been dominant or as effective as he was last season. If your eyes can't tell you that then surely the numbers bear it out in plain black and white.
Look at Betances

Terry really struggles handling the pen. It's his greatest weakness as a manager.
I mean
SethFromAstoria : 5/30/2016 6:15 pm : link
not sure why the guy who literally "right on cue" makes a consistently psychotic manager remark in literally every single thread would comment on who is "right on cue"...but to move on...

Smoking dope...not seeing things...I don't think its too hard to see he hasn't k'd as many guys and more balls are getting hit hard for hits than last year. Think it's really just what you mean when you say dominant. He hasn't mowed down every hitter in sight and he already had a game where he allowed 4 runs. He didn't have one of those all last year. THe most glaring thing though is that he allowed 6 runs in two games and last year allowed a TOTAL of 16 runs.

Other than that though the stats I posted are not fake. He allowed 2 runs in a month, didn't blow a save and didn't walk a batter. He had more k's than hits allowed by 2x.

But the reason I said anything in general is because there were a handful of guys losing their shit and posting messages on a message board that were off the wall crazy. Emotions get the best of us but wow. Sometimes you'd be completely logical to read this shit and think some people WANT people to suck to prove some sort of point they have. It doesn't matter how many times you say it outloud or to yourself; TC is not a horrible manager nor is Familia bad this season , nor is he at risk of losing his job. He also has a different job than Betances (all of the Yankee relievers have been untouchable, sort of as predicted no?) Was that a serious statement?

I think you grossly misunderstand the meaning of "literally" but that's not all that surprising given your...well, mental ineptitude. But I do invite you to prove your accusation about me making a psychotic manager remark on "literally" every single thread.

My lordy...why bother with this shit? The thing that is weird is just how no one bothers responding to the daily routine. And it's always the same too...you don't dislike or hate or not care for the person you're ranting on. You just go off on them for hours whether its TC, or sandy, or Matt Harvey or Familia, or whatever player isn't playing well that game. Anyone in general who saw that Vaccaro/Harvey thing play out and goes out of their way to defend the media cause by absolutely ripping this kid who is a franchise star (who pitched his fucking balls off to try and carry his team into another WS game by shutting down the Royals) is to me, a complete wacko. This kid has never once gone to the mound and half assed it, but fans of this team like yourself will actually defend reporters for having personal agendas against him for going out in the city or dating models or going to hockey games...its nuts. The kid gets sick and they mock him in the papers. He has a bad outing and this trashbag Vaccaro prints an article about why he'll never be a star or something. This is just another in a long line of Harvey rip jobs. Of course the same guy kills the Mets daily and wakes up to them in the World Series...then talks accountability when he answers to no one for being awful and wrong.

So Harvey goes through his personal shit and this reporter goes completely off the rails with another vicious article just days after his last one. As though the kid should bend over for this guy who despises him....and guess who you "Defend". Not that punk who pitched today right? You don't hate Harvey, nor TC, nor Sandy, nor Familia, nor the Mets. You just are completely disgusted by their pathetic shittyness daily.

I dont need to repost anything...just go search. You got your insulting "you're an idiot" comment in. Not interested in continuing to point out your dumb shit of the day. And again I'm completely fine being an idiot and trying to match you any day I'm in the mood. Have some real things that have happene din my day to day and I get it...I'm lacking intellect because i disagree. COol. Rant and rave as you please about shit you are wayy fucking wrong about. Its all good man.
Got it. So...you got nothing, right?
PhiPsi125 : 5/30/2016 7:27 pm : link
Call someone out on something you are 100% wrong on and when you are called to the carpet you couldn't be bothered to back it up. Sounds about right.

Then go on your normal tangent about something that wasn't even talked about today. But I guess you are right...it's all the demon reporters...Harvey couldn't possibly bring any of this on himself. Right.

I've actually made a conscious effort to NOT kill TC at every turn this year and I think I did a pretty damn good job waiting until game #49 of the season. Not exactly "every single thread" but I still invite you to provide an ounce of proof to your wild, inaccurate accusation. That is, if you can take Harvey's cock out of your mouth long enough to respond. Unless you can multitask...which is pretty cool, I guess.

Absolutely serious. It was an example of a pitcher who has been dominant, just like Kershaw has been. Another one with a different job than Familia. Point remains. I never said Familia has been bad, only that he has not been dominant, which he hasn't been. Not sure why you have a hard time comprehending that.
