Compilation of NJAdvance Media Staff Thoughts (warning for those who are squeamish - Slide Show format)
Condensed Highlights (there are more details, video, pictures, and rationales for these "ruminations" in the slide show:
1 - Nat Behre has the strongest chance to become starting safety with Darian Thompson nipping at his heals
2 There's hope for Andre Williams - he looks quicker and more fluid and has been catching the ball well.
3 There should be cautious optimism about the Linebackers
4 There should be depth concerns about the pass rush behind the presumptive starters
4 Sterling Sheppard passes the eye test and should be a major contributor starting in week 1
5 The UDFA WRs have their work cut out for them -- very unlikely that Beckham, Cruz, Sheppard, Harris, Davis and White won't make the team
6 The Starting Offensive Line is unlikely to change from - Flowers, Pugh, Richburg, Jerry, Newhouse
7 Don't write off BJ Daniels -- This is not Coughlin's team anymore and McAdoo may well go with 3 QBs
8 Anything could happen at TE - there are six viable candidates with different strengths - LaCosse is the most well rounded candidate
9 Donte Deayon has been the biggest surprise and has a shot

I'll start paying attention to your guy Coprich once the hitting starts..Looking forward to it

The only issue with the French player and stashing him is that he is old so they may decide to go with a younger player.
Williams has to show it against competition, not just in OTA's....
Our main concern, is the same one we have had the last 4 seasons, injuries.....we need a break, no pun intended....
Before his injury Behre actually had a good rookie year. Media felt he should have been given a chance to start. He was great on special teams and practiced with the first team. Stevie Brown was so bad that he got pulled for Behre. But instead of allowing Behre an opportunity to start, Perry went with Demps. That's on coaches. I don't know what a young player could do at that point. Even Coughlin admitted at the 2015 OTAs that Behre should have been given a shot to start.
If we had James Jones instead of Parker there is a legit chance we win 2 or 3 of those close games in the first half of the season. Instead we kept Parker (which seemed purely for the sake of continuity) as it was pretty darn clear Jones was the more talented player.
Miles White from all accounts Ive seen does not have nearly as high a ceiling as a couple of these UDFAs especially Roger Lewis.
I can see keeping Davis with the strides he has made in OTAs but not White.

Looking at whatever I could find on the FA wide receivers, that's my best guess too. I also think they'll give Dable a chance to return KOs, and if he's good enough at the NFL as a KR, he might even make the 53. I don't think the staff would be adverse to limiting Harris to PR and gunner duty only on STs.
He came thru in a couple of games big-time last season on returns.
Is he not taking snaps out of fear that someone might bump or fall on the knee?
Behre should start the season with the 1st team on obvious run support downs.
The one I am not so sure about is White, the Giants need another deep threat to go along with OBJ and Lewis is a guy that gets on top of DBs in a hurry and makes plays down the field. Lewis > White is a real possibility.
cut and then resigned for the last few games of the season
Cut so he could receive an injury settlement and then be free to sign with another team, which is what happened when he was picked up by the Jets. Unfortunately, he was still not fully recovered from his hamstring injury and was cut by the Jets in camp. Now he's back and he's having another good spring. If he can avoid the injury bug, I'd say his chances of making the team are pretty good.
We all see Lewis's potential, but he has to get deep enough into the playbook to replace White, who has a few years of experience on him. It's encouraging he's getting pushed by Eli and OBJ both. So they must see something in him.
Robbieballs I don't think Dable's age would preempt him going to the PS. The FO knew his age when they signed him, and also knew he'd likely be a 2 year project, no?
And don't kid yourself. Even if he remains at DS, if it is a close competition, Thompson is going to be declared the winner and starter even if he is not the winner at that moment in time.
And based on potential, this is as it should be.
