The baseball gods aren't good enough with having only 4 of our 5 staring pitchers with TJ surgery...they really want to complete the total fuckery of this Mets staff.
Even when the Mets are good, it sucks being a Mets fan.

Steven Matz, who reported elbow soreness in last start, said his bullpen went fine today. That is all for this episode of good #Mets news

Juan Lagares said he will try baseball activities when goes to PSL tonight. "I feel good. Won't try to do too much, but can do some.

This is at least the 4th time since May 2014 that Noah Syndergaard has gone for an MRI on his elbow. He went on AAA DL then for that too.
The Mets are unlikely to offer any more details on Wednesday night regarding the injuries to Noah Syndergaard, Yoenis Cespedes and Zack Wheeler, a team official said. All three were examined on Wednesday by team doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
Citi Field turned into Panic Citi on Wednesday afternoon. Yet by night time, the prevailing hope was Noah Syndergaard and Yoenis Cespedes had avoided not only serious injury, but the disabled list altogether, The Post has learned.
Mets do plan to announce tonight that Noah Syndergaard and Yoenis Cespedes are both expected to avoid the DL.

Noah Syndergaard put a photo on Instragram this evening with the caption: "Happy elbows for me and mini Thor," while posing with a young lookalike. I suppose that's a positive.
Elbow discomfort is not as ominous as pain in the forearm
Pitchers have inflammation in the elbow after every start. The fact that it came around the 80 or 90 pitch mark is also a good sign. If he had left in the first inning I would be worried.
Plus, he had elbow and forearm pain his last season at AAA. So, this is nothing new.
I'm more worried about Matz not being able to throw the slider. They should give him a few starts off. I guess they were originally trying to wait for Wheeler to do that

#Mets announce no structural damage for Syndergaard. Just elbow discomfort. Taking anti-inflammatory med. Cleared to resume normal routine.
Christ...
you just described 1/2 of our position players

Get him to see Confortos doctor
please don't be serious injury

Cespedes and Syndergaard left together to go see the doctor.

That being said, if Noah's elbow is going to go at some point this year I would rather it be now so he can contribute in some form next year.
Is this a sick joke?
