Nimmo's CF play has been knocked by Wally. I don't think he'd be promoted to play CF. I think it's part of the reason he hasn't been. I think Conforto for Nimmo almost happened but don't think Nimmo for Lagares etc would happen unless it was forced/emergency.
Herrera would require moving Walker over to 3B.. which may be an option down the road but I think they're going to either take a shot on Reyes and/or sign Gourriel before they go down that road.
I'm just really, really tired of Eric fuckin' Campbell.
They need to cool off first so that when they are called up here they will fit right in.
It was originally put on a month ago and highlighted Gourriel. I guess at that time he hadn't left Cuba yet and a lot of the it was him ironically talking about how he wont leave Cuba.
Anyway he came off so impressive. Seems to be THE player in Cuba, from a baseball family (dad, brother also stars) and very highly respected.
Would LOVE if we can bring him in.

Umm...no he doesn't. He plays a lot of positions, but none especially well. And given the hole in his bat, I'm not sure what Met management is expecting.

Nimmo has been great the last 7 weeks. Really positive sign. But it is only 7 weeks. I think you want him to stay down at AAA for a while. Plus, unless, they demote Conforto there is not a spot for him because you want him to play every day.
