Two questions. First, does anybody think he's funny? Maybe it's the politics and I'm a channel surfer but I've seen parts of his own show and parts of the Five and I don't think I ever laughed at anything he said and this is over a period of years, I wonder if I'm predisposed not to like him .
Second, on Noah, I think he has his moments but his show does not compare with Jon Stewart's and I think Samanths Bee is way funnier. I'm wondering if she wanted to be Stewart's replacement and was not selected or did she not want to work 4 days a week. Did Stewart pick Noah over Bee? If so,a worse decision than replacing Colbert with Wilmore,a huge mistake.
I'm sure the final decision to promote Trevor was Comedy Central's. Stewart may have been asked his input, and he may have even agreed with the hire, but I can't imagine he had the final say on who got the job.
He does an opinion soliloquy that is serious (and yes conservative) and oddly he has coherent content. His humor is childish.
Noah, I don't watch.
Jessica Williams should have got it. but after Oliver and Sam bee couldn't do it. his show is somewhat funny but not as good as Stewart's.
Sam's show is funny too, but the funniest and real successor to the daily show in my eyes is last week tonight. it is funny and they are accurate and the writers dig deep, like the daily show in its prime.
I think they went cheap on Noah. Betting they didnt pay him a ton. They wanted a big name but got turned down. My guess is he is a seat warmer, and someone takes over in a 1-2 years. People didnt want to follow JS.
