Conforto needs to go down. He's messed up. He chases everything now. After showing great patience when he first came up. Mets have been very patient with him.
this team can be this damn bad with a runner on third and less than 2 outs. Its beyond pathetic. You mean not one of these clowns can learn to get a sac fly. Unreal
Conforto is dreadful. The team is almost coming around. HE is the gaping wound right now. Just swap him with Nimmo for a couple weeks. Nimmo is on the 40 anyway. Combined with Reyes playing some 3B I think we can almost be respectable again.
Would it surprise anybody if Conforto is sent down tomorrow? Â
have almost identical lines offensively but both at least have their heads above water. Walker has been pretty good albeit streaky. Cespedes is awesome. TDA is back finally. Even Flores and Loney are chipping in plenty lately.
Swap Conforto and Nimmo and get Reyes on this team!
He probably should be. I can't see any good coming from continuing like this.
He's hitting like .120 for 2 months now. They've been more patient with him than many teams would with a young player. The concern is he looks to be getting worse. He has NO plate discipline anymore. What use to be his strength is now his weakness. Might have to send him down to regain confidence

Slowing down his motion? Rubbing his elbow? Not effing good.

So much for the laugher.

I'm on board ...I'll watch golf instead.

This combined with that shot of Matz rubbing his elbow before the 5th inning is worrisome.
Today is the 4th game in a 20 in 20 stretch. Bullpen had already tossed 13 2/3 innings entering tonight. That adds up quickly.
Only 2nd time Terry has asked Jeurys for 1+ innings, but this is appearance 37 in 72 games.
Nats ace Max Scherzer gave up 5 runs in Milwaukee tonight, and Nats are trailing, 5-3. Nats have not won since exactly a week ago.
