It's amazing how quickly summer goes by. It literally felt like yesterday it was Memorial Day weekend and now next weekend is 4th of July. Unfortunately it will be Labor Day in a blink of an eye.
My wife and I are doing a lot of day/weekend trips to the shore. I try to enjoy as many good craft beers as possible and BBQ/eat outside as much as possible.
I've always been someone who really enjoys every season. But damn does summer fly by.
Some nations allow you to take a month off in the summer. Not here we have a certain amount of time and if we do not use it we lose it.
I'm talking more so about the Memorial Day-Labor Day timeline.
It's best for you if it is an illusion.

For those of us with kids summer doesn't really start till school lets out. NJ schools just got out this past week.
I've been looking forward to doing some 4-wheel ATV picnics with the wife, but been a little hamstrung by a sprinkler project lately.
Been fishing a little too. The other day I took my teenage daughters to a favorite fishing hole where they nailed rainbow trout for a bit. I spent the time baiting hooks and releasing fish, and basically enjoying watching their excitement.
Planning a little camping trip, then a major road trip to visit my sons who are working in the NoVA area this summer. It will be my second major road trip of the year. The last one was a better trip in terms of the time I had. This next one will be better because I'm expecting my first grandbaby, due the first week of August!
Best summer in a long time as I've finished many projects I've been working on and am really enjoying some leisure time. Haven't started reading some of the books I've wanted to catch up on yet though.
I'll save you all the "blast her..." Comments, cause believe me--its
On!
Ugh, so to answer you're question, I'm looking forward to football.
Same out here in the desert. Spend a lot of time in the summer either in AC or submerged in the pool. Actually this year add in rehabbing from knee replacement.
Come September the weather starts getting real again.
I know lol...right??
I spend a shit ton on tolls, gas, ready for my second set of new tires and of course the time factor.
But, I wouldn't trade it to live in that fucking concrete furnace. The air doesn't circulate and no breeze whatsoever.
This may not be Arizona or Miami but Orlando is/has to be one of the most uncomfortable places in the summer.
My summer is going great as I live across the street from the ocean and get there often, even on work days.
However, looking forward to the fall as October here is plain perfect. High 70's and starts to cool down at night.
