I run a team where I need to often message 40+ contacts about important information. iPhone unfortunately does not allow me to group more than 10 people in a text as far as I know.
I had been using the Remind 101 app but it limits my characters which sucks.
Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this easily? Is there something out there that really works?
Text seems to be the best bet.
I tried Group Me I think. Is that the one that makes you turn off iMessage and group messaging in settings on the iPhone?
used them both.
Believe it or not......... Some people do not use email. I was kind of caught off guard by this because I have several email accounts that I use constantly.
I would say:
-if you are just sending out memos and stuff and mass messages rather than dozens a day ranging from different topics, groupme is the best. I used this the most especially when I wanted to relay a message to everyone (like you a lot of people in these groups sucked at checking email)
-slack works well if you are sending out many messages about different topics. So if you're working on a project and want to separate messages by categories, slack works well. It's a bit more casual though in style.
Not a huge fan of whatsapp honestly.
One advantage to both slack and groupme (idk if whatsapp does this) is you can check via computer as well

Don't think that's it. Never had to do that
Np. Also just re read the OP and groupme has a character limit although it's pretty large
People look at FB more than any messaging app
I looked at and downloaded TeamSnap. Main issue is it is email based but I think that is the way I am going to go in combo with GroupMe. I will send notices to check their TeamSnap when TeamSnap is updated. Should work....... Hopefully.
The feature that I like the most about TeamSnap is that you can get it to feed your personal calendar.
