"Phil Sheridan, Philadelphia Eagles: I'm way too nice a guy to suggest hiring Tonya Harding as a secondary coach."
We saw what teams were doing to him, long before the Carolina game.....they were manhandling him, hitting him hard once he caught the ball, and there was some trash talk....and since he did not have that big guy opposite him, it shows how good he was that he was still able to put up the stats he did.....
But that all came to a head in the Carolina game......there was the buildup during the week by the media with Norman and OBj.....and when OBj dropped that deep ball in the first half, that's when the trash talking and physical nature escalated....Norman got into his head....if he caught that pass, no doubt in my mind, what transpired after that, would never have happened.....after that drop, Norman was relentless, and OBj lashed back, in a negative way....

Teams were manhandling him primarily b/c his temper showed up a few times before the Carolina game. If you can't beat someone, you do your best to take him out of the game (either mentally or via penalties). That worked well for a good portion of the Carolina game (and the vikings appreciated that strategy I'm sure).
Beckham needs to work on controlling his temper. Everyone is going to try to that this year and he needs to let his play do the talking instead of his fists.
more creatively than he has in the past. Coughlin was never one for trick plays, but I think these plays have their place in giving defenses more to prepare for and think about. Parcells was a master, IMHO, of knowing when and where to call a trick play. Coughlin was particularly bad at it. With two different offensive coordinators under Coughlin, that aspect of the offense didn't change.
Rather than ask, "How do you stop Beckham?", I hope McAdoo and Sullivan are asking, "What do we add to Beckham's arsenal to make him even harder to defend?"
Beckham has to learn to focus his anger the right way but he's never going to be without it.. it's part of what got him here and made him an elite WR. That drive he has to be the best, to be perfect.. the dude is a lion. I love that about him. He will learn to direct his negative emotions as he matures.

Shepard and hopefully a healthy Cruz.
It's going to be a long season for opposing teams secondary's
Going to light em' up...
Nice to know that OBJ has forced the Skins into being fleeced for Norman. Lots of money tied up.
Yeah Cruz dominated 2011, but Nicks was also standout.

So you give him space at the line, and then you can't even touch him when he burns by you.
So, no. Prepare for annihilation?
