is tough with one eye. If he was a hitting prospect his career would most likely be over. As a pitcher, he might still have a shot but fielding will be an issue.
I seriously doubt he will be able to resume his career
I had a medical thing that caused me to lose most vision in one eye very suddenly. (It eventually came back.) Depth perception was a huge issue. I couldn't even parallel park. You generally aren't aware of stereo vision, but when you lose it, it's very disorienting.
I can't imagine trying to play baseball with one eye, hitting or fielding, pitching or anything else. Easier to do it with one hand and two eyes than two hands and one eye.
How can you play with one eye?
Very unfortunate. I hope the best for him in the long run.
Piece of metal. Broke his nose, two orbital bones as well.
