He played 4 full seasons with the Steelers and only had 8 rushes, 31 passes his way. Did Pittsburgh screw up? Was he an exclusive blocker? Anyone actually see him play on the Steelers?

re: blocking last year. Think about formations with TEs in backfield. And he is effective a blocking FB. He will play a significant role but it will be, for the most part, facilitating others making plays. And, he will make a few plays when needed, but they will be dumpoffs, mid-range catches, maybe some red zone stuff.

In short, negligible offensive weapon, but important role in making the offense work more effectively.

the giants O really needed a skilled blocker who could line up in the backfield, flexed or at the LOS and execute the plays. johnson can do that and bridges the gap of what wasn't working last year

3rd or 4th read receiver reliable dump-off receiver and a respectable short yardage runner and he plays specials. I would call that significant.

Will Johnson has 8 career rushes. Four of the carries for zero yards. Who thinks he can run? Based on what?
