Terry Collins said Juan Lagares will start Sunday against Jon Lester. So he will be activated from the disabled list by the end of the series against the Cubs. Lagares is in the lineup for Game 1 of Binghamton's doubleheader on Friday night.
are in first place because they have the best pitching staff top to bottom in baseball and I DO think its a bit unsustainable. They have some good to great pitchers but just about everyone is playing well above their career averages.
Their lineup has two stars (Bryant and Rizzo). Zobrist had an insane start but like Murphy is likely trending back to his mean. The rest of the lineup has been meh.
...now let's hope the fanbase doesn't lose their mind like they did with Conforto. It's a game of adjustments and you won't really know what we have in the young man until the league gets a book and he is forced to make and execute his first set of corrections.
He doesn't need to hit 30 HR for me to be satisfied yet. I wanted to see signs that the power was there and developing and that's what we are getting. He hits 15 in Bing this year? I'm over the moon. If Cheech can just get over his mental throwing issues the first round 4 pack is really killing it across the board.
Instead of the thin-ish 1b, maybe he's more the Mo Vaughn, Ortiz, Fielder, Balboni type. and with the weight will come more power. And it's not like you need to have a marathon runners body to play 1B.

pack on the pounds Dom.
I've actually thought that too. He isn't tall. Not many 6'0 guys end up hitting 30 HR. The extra weight around the gut might give him a little more torque. ;)

David Wright is here and will address media pregame. #mets
He is from Illnois and playing for his old manager, and on a surging young team.

David believes he will play again. Is OK with pursuit of Gourriel.
Wright said he loves Reyes signing.

Travis dArnaud is batting .389 with 3 RBI in his last 6 games. #MetsFacts
Jacob deGrom warming. So he's going to return.
if the game ends and is official, yes.
Well if they are losing to the Mets they must be right? Cant tell if you're trying to insult us or what?

This Cubs team is so overrated. Total paper tigers.

Z, no. Pittsburgh sucks.

Now get 3 outs!!!
Nimmo!
Love it. great to finally see some fight and fire out of these guys. Seems like they have been all or nothing this year offensively.
Cheech 2-2 with a double. Sandy Busterson!
Arrieta is coming off a bad start and Colon might be just what the doctor ordered to change up the pace with their hitters.

Rookie of the year in the AL first half?
He or Mazara seems like the contenders off the top of my head, probably missing someone.
