NFT: Vince Wilfork front cover ESPN in his birthday suit

Vince Wilfork poses nude on cover of ESPN's Body Issue

Well, I could have posted the image, but
1) it's probably too big for the page!
2) it also could be dinner time for some BBI'ers

There are no words...

Can I ask...
SanFranNowNCGiantsFan : 7/1/2016 5:59 pm : link
why does ESPN think anyone is interested in a 'Body Issue?' Is their response to SI's swimsuit issue?
I like Wilfork
B in ALB : 7/1/2016 6:00 pm : link
Seems like a good dude. He's probably more athletic than anyone on BBI too.

It depends on what you consider athletic.. He surely isn't faster than all of us and he can't jump as high as all of us.. Just saying, I like Wilfork as well though. He's a powerful human being, athletic uhm yeah ok.
Haha!

p.s.-- And 325lbs? Probably closer to 375lbs....
Unrelated to the magazine feature, when Wilfork

was with the Pats, I used to go to his draft day party in my town at a place called Pinz. Bowling alley, arcade, laser tag, bar, etc. and it was a lot of fun and for charity and I hated sitting around watching the draft.

I'd wear my Giants hat and every year Vince would give me crap, like get all mean and say "you" "You need to leave!", and act like he was mad, and then be very friendly.

Him, his wife, his kids, his whole "entourage" were just incredibly nice people and put on a great day for his charity. One of the most humble and approachable athletes I have ever met.

I don't have a ton of athletes I respect off the field, but Vince is one of them, just seems like a good hearted dude.

and I agree with B, despite his size, he's undoubtedly more of an athlete than 99% of the planet.

Definitely true. I've been searching for a youtube video of him with his wife at a theme park and his wife sees this guy in a Wilfork jersey and introduces him to her husband. The guy is surprised and thrilled, it's a fun moment. But I can't find it, damn!
Funny Vince Wilfork story.....

right after one of the Giants Superbowl wins the Giants were also scheduled to play the Pats at home in the pre season the following summer. I sold those seats thru stub hub and you never know who is buying the seats until you go to print the shipping label.

Well, the day comes when I have to fed ex the tickets and when I print the shipping label it is going to Bianca Wilfork up in MA.

So, I put the tickets in there and I am getting ready to seal the fed ex envelope and then I stop myself. There is NO WAY that I am going to waste this opportunity and just mail the tickets. So, I spend the next 30 min printing off all of the photos and news articles of the Giants beating the Pats in the Superbowl. Must have been 30 or 40 pages worth of stuff. Put it all in there and sent it to his house.

I only wish I was there to see the reaction on his face.
Every pre-season after that...

You are underestimating his athleticism. He's 34 now so some of it's gone but his 40 time was 5.08, had 36 reps on the 225 bench press and up until a few years ago was able to dunk a basketball.

He carries a ton of weight , now more so than earlier in his career, but he is certainly athletic

I'm not saying I would've done what you did, but the others are being too harsh. I can't imagine that his wife and he took it as anything but a harmless prank. The fact that he posed naked for the magazine shows he's a guy who doesn't take himself too seriously.
Just don't make fun of his wife!.... - ( New Window )

As professional athletes go, Vince Wilfork is pretty recognizable. At 6-foot-2 and 325lbs, the New England Patriots star couldn't even go incognito if we wanted. But when the two-time Super Bowl champion sidled up to a fan wearing his jersey in the Bahamas, the unobservant Patriots supporter was clueless.

Daily Mail blurb includes video from Bianca Wilfork's instagram... - ( New Window )

He's a walking advertisement for people who develops type 2 diabetes and hypertension. Along w the myriad of health issues that obesity brings. Like you said 325? Maybe on the moon.

Anyone think like Snee he will drop 60 pounds when he's done? He's made millions and he can live many way he wants but pretending to be that big has no risks and is the way he is is fine is bullshit and dangerous. Just being African American his he has much higher risks for what I mentioned as well as kidney disease. All his PC shit on fat shamming etc sounds nice until They get to have a foot amputated or are on dialysis at 45. It's not healthy to be extremely over weight. The costs to the system for serious health conditions that can be totally controlled but diet and exercise is already in the billions. But hey. Don't bring it up or you are a big meanie.

Unless you've played
B in ALB : 7/2/2016 7:52 pm : link
with or against guys his size or worked out or practiced with them or run sprints with them at a high level you really have no idea how athletic these guys are. I've played with, against and worked with guys who were 6'7" 300+, played with a guy who was 6'9" 315 and was unreal athletically and those dudes can boogie. That's why they are who they are. It's very difficult to explain it and give these guys the respect they deserve. Some will look at Wilforks picture and dismiss him if you don't know who he is. That dude is crazy strong, fast, quick and smart.
And I should mention
B in ALB : 7/2/2016 7:56 pm : link
That those guys were draft picks and played for years. Shit. Our fullback was 6'4" 250 and ran a 4.4. (He also just swam 27 miles last year to save his life after his boat capsized - and he's almost 40) A little trivia for y'all.

Point is, watching on tv or in person doesn't do these guys any justice at all. They are freaks. They are unbelievable from an athletic standpoint.
