Eovaldi stinks got rocked by one of the worst lineups in baseball, hicks 0 for his last 18 and now batting under .200 enough of this guy.

I couldn't agree with you more. I never liked Eovaldi even when he had that hot streak last year and started off fairly well this year. I just thought it was a matter of time before he reverted back to his old crappy form.

As for Hicks this is the same guy the Twins traded because of all the great expectations they had for him and he never produced. There was a reason they kept sending him down to the minors. He stinks.

Then you have a guy like Refsnyder who is on a similar track as Hicks in his pro career that has toiled in theYankee system and done everything they have asked of him and can hit and has hit whether against lefties or righties but this chump Hicks gets the benefit of the doubt when it comes to playing time.

Hicks who was supposed to be murder on left handed pitchers has been anything but. And he sure as hell can't hit from left side either. As a matter of fact when in Minnesota he wanted to abandon switch hitting but they talked him out of it. To tell you the truth it looks like he abandoned hitting all together.

With all the playing time he has gotten the only thing that stands out is that one throw he made from left field to gun down a runner at the plate. If that's what Joe is hanging his hat on as to why this guy gets play so much then I guess offense isn't what he's looking for from this guy because he sure has given them nothing yet he continues to put him in the lineup.
To add to that
blueblood'11 : 7/2/2016 6:43 am : link
Cashman and Joe want to win. They think they can still make a run and as Cashman said we want to be buyers and not sellers and that's their motivation. They won't give up on the season yet they say they want to play this guy to see what they have.

Are you kidding me. How contradictory is that. At the expense of possibly winning a game you play this chump to see what he is capable of doing. If that isn't the essence of giving up I don't k know what is. The guy has not produced and you need every win you can get at this point and he is not and has not helped the cause. How about giving the guy you drafted and developed and you know can and has hit that same benefit of the doubt Rob Refsnyder.

It kills me that they are putting so much stock in a guy from another organization who has failed expectations over a guy you k ow very well and has hit and will hit if you just give him more of an opportunity.

Could not agree more, and can people stop with that Nasty Nate Garbage!!! Here's what infuriates me even more. You have a guy in the minors ripping it up in Aaron Judge. 16 homers hittin .266 with 46 RBI's. The reason they don't want to bring him up is they want hm to clean a couple things up inparticular his strikeouts. Really. If this were another team he'd be up at this point. So you curry favor for a guy like Hicks who does shit and let a red hot commodity who happens to be 25 years old sit at AAA. What are they waiting for until he's 30 years old. This organization. Really seems to have lost their way.

More than striking out and his contact rate has been way up as he won Player of the Month is June. When the light goes on you should really take them out of the oven.
I have less than no desire to watch this current Yankees team, but

still find time to monitor the minor league teams.

I wish there was a way for us fans to voice our displeasure to a-holes like Levine, Hal and Cashman on how this organization is being run.

Trade Beltran already and bring Judge up. It doesn't matter that this decrepit team is only 5 games out, we'll be 10-15 games out come August and have nothing to show for it.

Their schedule this month is absolutely brutal!!!

Two more with this Padres Nova going tonight Green tomorrow advantage Padres,

Three with the white sox maybe they can take that series

Four with Cleveland the hottest team in all of baseball Eovaldi and Nova going that series if we don't get swept it will be a miracle.

All star break

Then three with Boston

Four with Baltimore

Three with San Francisco

Three with Houston and

Close out the month with Tampa,

I can't wait to see what their record will be at the deadline.

At this rate at ASB, .500. That's what they are.

As for Judge, I agree take him out of the oven, but as one claimed on here, "only idiot Yankees fans think of doing that"

Personally, I'd be all for them to be sellers. Which they won't be unfortunately

There are no other GM's in MLB that would survive the Ellsbury, McCann, Headley & Castro contracts.

Hicks should only be playing as a defensive replacement for Beltran and/or in NL parks in later innings when they start doing double switches. He isn't even close to any other bat in the lineup. Judge should be here.

They seem obsessed with Hicks almost like they are trying to will their reclamation project to work. It doesn't work. He has a great arm. Whoopdee doo! A-Rod gets benched in the midst of a 3 game hitting streak and 7 of 8, while Hicks and Teixeira hit 30 points less and are dropping. Refsnyder does nothing but hit and he mostly sat once Teixeira came back. The team can't score runs and you trot Hicks out there almost every day?
