i typed I big long post that got deleted when I touched the screen so here are the cliff notes
Super smart guy.
Said NFL stands for "No Fucking Logic"
the inability of teams to interact with the players more is a direct reason for more soft tissue injuries.
Positive people in an organization make HUGE differences. He should know, he was in Cleveland for three years back in the early 2000's (when Shaun O'Hara was there as well) Complete losing attitude. Arizona is the complete opposite and praises BA (Bruce Arians) for being the catalyst for the culture. Loves there GM as well. He pointed out that players with up beat attitudes also make a huge difference in an organization. They are like having extra coaches when the coaches cant interact with the players.
We talked about a lot more but I wanted to post this before I deleted it again............
He highly recommended watching this on Amazon. Said it was free for the month of July I think
[quote] The entire Cardinals franchise is all about positivity from top to bottom. Michael Bidwell, Bruce Arians and the GM (forget his name) are a great trio. Easy to cheer that franchise. [/quote
Even the players I couldn't believe how much Patrick Peterson was trying to pump his guys up even when they were getting completely destroyed in the NFL championship game.
How many athletes do you see that when they get on top they look at that as an end goal and expect that to always be the case? Too many. They forgot what got them to the top in the first place. That is why I love how Beckham has handled success. A lot of players do not know how to deal with failure but the same goes for success. Your whole life changes. He has busted his ass even harder it seems to be the best. And, even if he is considered the best player still playing he is striving for the being the best player to ever live and he will never reach that concretely. It will always be an argument on who the greatest player is so, imo, he will always be busting his ass until he hangs 'em up.
Arians sounds very positive from all that I have heard, however he is also a no-nonsense guy as well so he isn't going to be positive when a guy isn't doing what needs to be done in terms of effort. Results are different. If a guy is busting his ass and not getting the results it pays to be positive. If a guy is not putting in the effort I cannot see him being comforting and positive. I think that just comes along with the territory. This is all an opinion though.
I wonder if that is why Randle and Prince weren't pursued at all?
Money is motivation for many of the players. Only real thing coaches have to hold over their head besides playing time usually.
