I was watching ESPN earlier. They were discussing Le'Veon Bell and mentioned that he's only lost 1 fumble in his career. They showed a graphic of fewest fumbles lost among rushers since 2013 (his rookie year) with carry totals.
1st was Lynch with 1 FBL on 692 carries.
2nd was Bell with 1 FBL on 647 carries.
3rd was Jennings with 1 FBL on 525 carries.
Pretty cool stat for Rashad to bring into the season. It also is something I didn't think much of watching him the past couple years, but for such a physical back, he doesn't cause many turnovers.
I am glad he is still our starter. Hes a good all around back and hope he is here for at least two more years if for noting else to be a mentor while Perkins learns.
Anyway, there's nothing wrong with RJ's ball security. His timing has been bad, but in fairness, there's never a good time for a team with a terrible defense to turn the ball over.

I agree. I can't believe some posters don't like Jennings. He's under appreciated.
At age 31, my hope is he still has that one year left in him. It is true that he hasn't taken the pounding of many many carries in any season of his career. He didn't play too too much early in his career and he takes care of himself. We certainly need him to start the season as he knows the offense cold; can protect Eli; and should see more holes behind an improve OL, TE and new FB Johnson.
Let rookie Perkins learn behind Jennings, a good character guy and leader. I'd really like for Perkins to be our "Bradshaw of 2007", the guy who steps in more and more later in the season with fresh legs and a change of style to knock teams on their ass.
Couldn't agree more.....
Wait... did Doomster just concur with a positive comment?
Are you feeling OK buddy? Did somebody hijack you account?
Pretty spot on assessment IMO. I'm a big Jennings fan, he seems to bring good vet leadership on top of performance. He's a reasonably good back, just not a great one.
While he lacks home run play ability, I think he's very good at turning almost nothing into a 2-4 yard gain by finding gaps and creases and falling forward.
I think he's a much more capable goal line back than Andre Williams for that reason, which is why I often get so frustrated at the Giants past dogged determination to feed Williams in those situations.
To Williams credit, he rarely fumbles either
Average 4.5+ YPC
Receiving 25+ YPG
Projected for a full season, those numbers would look pretty good. Even if he missed some games, those would be pretty good game production if someone else (Perkins?) could pick up the slack.
No confidence in Williams or Darkwa.

RB Williams disappointed me last year BUT in his defense he didn't have a bonafide FB or great blocking in front of him. I think he is a guy who would play best behind a FB and now he has one. I want to see how he does this camp. He has ability and has flashed. But overall he is a disappointment.
As for Dwarka, I do believe he'll be better than many think. He flashed in spots and now he knows this offense. Reports are he is healthy. Going to be fun seeing what happens this camp.
