Bill Cosby is now “completely blind,” said a well-placed source, who added that the embattled comic is “in his own personal hell.” The disgraced comedian once known as “America’s Dad” is now confined to his Pennsylvania home with only his incomprehensibly loyal wife, Camille, at his side. The source close to Cosby told us, “His alleged victims may take some solace in the fact that he’s in his own personal hell. He has been suffering from a degenerative eye disease and is completely blind .& #8201;.& #8201;. All his Hollywood friends have turned their backs on him. |
Not in this case. He's 79 and has gone Blind. Until this shit surfaced he lived an awesome fucking life.
Unless hell actually exists Cosby is going to get away with being a despicable person with little punishment all things considered.
When he was arrested, who brailed him out?

Well, not exactly. His eldest son was murdered a few years back. Cosby is undoubtedly a terrible person, but I can't think of many things more horrible than having to bury your own child.
Flame on.
All in the Family showed the power of ridicule. (the only thing I'd agree with Saul Alinsky on.
Deterioriation since then.

Didnt know his son was murdered. That sucks. Even still, he's made millions and will likely never be punished by the law for his crimes.
Burying your own child is terrible. All the things he did were also terrible. I won't get into the business of trying to decide if he's suffered enough.
I also remember Eddie Murphy knocking him in his stand up back in the eighties.
Yeah, I get all that (not that I buy it all) but he already had power. I can see guys who always get their way going berserk when they don't but this is systematic. Just too weird. Doesn't fit the paradigm.
Rape is not about sex. It's about control.

For the most part, rape seems to be a crime of violence and power. It's usually not about the sex.

Very different types of power.

yeah, but doesn't the drug part kind of override the power/control thing? He's definitely a sexual predator, but I think he's more of a sociopath who wants to have sex with all these women and make it so they don't remember. Which is obviously horrible, but I think it has a lot to do with sex in this case.

There are all sorts of kinks/fetishes that have to do with control and power- hell, most do when you get down to it.
There are plenty of women willing to take part in a fetish/kink about control/power.
Which is why this is in no way a kink or fetish, and shouldn't be compared to one.
It really points back to this NOT being about sex as much as it is about control and power. He didn't want any form of consent- which is obviously by definition rape and also IMO pretty obviously more about violence, control, and power rather than sex.
No, that's rape.

It's both. I'm actually surprised you can't see that rape can include fetishes and can't. Strange.
Fetishes are very common and to equate the two shows a complete misunderstanding of both.
I know your schtick here is bizarre sexual stuff, and that's all well and good, but to pretend that a fetish can't be an awful thing simply because yours are (hopefully) harmless hurts your point rather than helps it.
Rape can certainly be a fetish. End of story.

You're a fucking moron.
Absolutely rape fantasies can be a fetish. Only a fool would equate fantasy play with consent and actual rape.
I'm not saying all fetishes are harmless; they can be quite disabling. The difference is that a fetish usually involves a narrow fixation on an object or body part; a compulsion is an urge to act a certain way, which may or may not be motivated by a fetish.
That's pretty good.
Yeah, but he sits on his hand for 20mins first so that it falls asleep.

FTW!!
It says nothing there about said fetish being morally acceptable. There are fetishes that are OK, and there are fetishes that are dangerous and obviously horrible.
But I know you know that.
You are so weird, Cam.

No, numbnuts.
So is pedophilia a fetish? Using your argument, basically any rape is just because of a fetish the person has.
The distinct difference is one of consent. Even in the example of someone with a fetish for young partners, there is a huge difference between finding a young looking partner willing to dress up and role play and actually fucking little kids. They are not both simply a fetish. One is, the other isn't.
I think BBB was closer to what you are horribly trying to convey in your attempt to "adult" about the difference between what is a compulsion and what is a fetish.
How are you not getting this?
Bondage is the perfect example. It's the most common link folks engage in. It absolutely is a type of fantasy where one partner is in complete control. Basically a type of rape fantasy.
The same folks that get turned on by engaging in rape fantasy would not be turned on by actually committing rape.
Just as someone that role plays with their partner in a student/teacher fantasy wouldn't be turned on IRL.
It isn't difficult for most folks to understand.
Idiot.
Not so fast, Cam. Consider the case of a young man who steals the underware from females in his neighborhood to do nasty little things with. Underwear stealing is certainly a fetish but it's very doubtful that there is any consent at all.
Not the act. Huge difference. A person with a foot fetish wants to look at feet or the foot turns on the person. The act is what deviates the fetish from the perversion.
Staring at someone's feet is a fetish. Forcibly taking someone's feet and jerking yourself off becomes sexual assault.
Rape is not a fetish - it is classified as a sexual crime. Same as pedophelia. A fetish is looking at child pornography or getting turned on by images of rape. Once the actual contact takes place, it no longer is a fetish, because you've progressed from desire to an action.
You might think that's just a parsing or words, but it is critical to how a fetish is perceived both as a matter of law and also in the way it fits in sexuality.

Thanks. Conveyed much gooder than me.

Yes of course it is about consent and the difference between fantasy and reality.

Good point. I was talking specifically of rape. Although to be honest I hadn't considered that specific type of circumstance at all.
My over encompassing point is that there is a major difference between fantasy and reality when it comes to certain types of fetish. Specifically and especially rape-type play.
Calling rape a fetish can be incredibly harmful when you bring that type of logic to subs (the partner that enjoys being play-raped). Taking it to it's conclusion one could argue that any person that engages in that form of play essentially can't be raped, because they enjoy that kind of thing. That could not be further from the truth.
Holy crap!
It's one thing if a couple is role playing. Which this, with Cosby, was not.
Come on.
"Play" ... is giving consent. It's a role a person would play.
Jesus.
