I say Yes.... Two time superbowl champ the teams all-time rushing TD leader and 4th all time in rushing. One of next years ROH inductees should be Brandon Jacobs
that they've held to thus-far. Of the modern players in the Ring, most have been guys who have been, at least at one point in their careers, acknowledged as among the best players in the NFL at their respective positions. (Snee, Strahan, Umenyiora, Barber, Tuck.) The lower end of that spectrum currently in the Ring is Amani Toomer, who still outclasses Jacobs both in longevity and in peak effectiveness (he was truly snubbed for a Pro Bowl spot in '02).
Ultimately, NYG gets to decide how exclusive they want to be. Putting Jacobs in would be cool, but that probably means that they should also add guys like Dave Diehl and Corey Webster.
On the game winning drive against the Patriots in the 2007 Super Bowl if he had not made thefirst down the Patriots would have run out the clock and I recall tha the ball was on the Giants 30 yard line or so.
Absolutely belongs in. All-time great Giant even if you took away the stats and rings. Say what you want about Plax and Nicks and Steve Smith, but Jacobs was the engine for that offense.
You judge by the way the younger generation does, then absolutely, he had a few great highlite reel moments, he had a big mouth, and he had a ton of bravado. He also stood out and hated Rex Ryan, those are the reasons why he should for the young generation.
For others who have been around, he was not even as good as Ron Johnson, and everyone who watched Ron Johnson knows I am right. Ron Johnson does not belong either of coarse. he also was not as good as Rodney Hampton, and Hampton does not belong.
Hey 60 TD''s nothing to sneeze about Two Rings right
place right time . But he Bled Blue and in his Prime
he was as tough as they come and he was Feared the
other thing was BJ had that Don't hurt mine attitude like
the enforcer .
Rodney Hampton and Ron Johnson were better backs IMO
He converted the tough downs that put away games. He demoralized teams in the 4th quarter. I don't care about stats, he's the runningback I'd take on my all time Giants team.
Then? Where would you rank Jacobs on a list of best Giants players of all time? What defines all time great?
The guy didn't even make a pro bowl. He was a tone setter, made some tone setting plays and was a fun guy too route for (when not getting tripped up in the backfield), but he was far from a great player.
Ron Johnson, Joe Morris, Rodney Hampton were all far superior runners, and more important to their teams. They are not in (unless I read the Ring of Honor website wrong). That's just off the top of my head. Jacobs was a solid role player on a good team, and a great team guy. He was not a great player. Hell he never even really started.
Are you kidding me BJ was just a JAG there is nothing special about him. I'll bet he was stuffed at the L.O.S. on 3rd and 4th down as many times as he scored.
Tiki certainly has the statistics an accolades to warrant inclusion but I'm not sure the way he has comported himself since retiring makes him deserving. Just my opinion.

Really? He's the Giants all-time leader in rushing TDs, 4th in yardage behind Tiki, Hampton, and Morris, key member of two championship teams.
Well, he was a bit of a TD vulture being that TC always brought him in at the goal line.

A freak athlete that left everything on the field and, as Greg mentioned, bled Giants blue.
I can see Eli and OBJ from our current team potentially making the Ring of Honor, especially if there is a ring for OBJ on the horizon.
JPP has a bit of an outside shot should he rebound, play well and be resigned long-term. A few more probowls and ring makes him a lock.
Outside of those 3 names, I doubt anyone else is close.
it's not all about stats.

I didn't realize he ranked that high but I think others players are more deserving

No Tyree Catch, no "Manning lobs it, Burress along ..." without his 4th and 1 conversion.

Then again, does Bradshaw go in also if that's the case?
You people lost all sense of reality
