Tye may not probowl, but dang this kid looked good in spots last year. Tye's blocking also improved by leaps and bounds as I understand it. I really think he becomes a "blanket" for Eli much like Witten was for Romo. He is sneaky quick, nifty, and now knows the offense cold with another off-season. If his blocking has really improved we are in good shape going forward.
As for OWA, you have to hope he stays healthy but I'm not sure (barring injury) he gets enough snaps for 8+ sacks. My surprise sacker is still FB DL Nikita Whitlock. I see him coming out and surprising in camp as a situational pass rusher used in various spots for mis-match. You have to hope we have a surprse pass rusher.
OWA could be the 3rd and long DT as well. That would be interesting.
Actually, oddly, this one would not surprise me. I just see E. Flowers really improving. He is healthy and now has coach Solari plus 15 games of LT experience. He is a powerful man and I see him keying a left side run game that will be "special" and so forth.
OG J. Pugh is in his second season at his natural RG position. He played very well last year and should play at an even better level this year. He and E. Flowers will be dominant run blockers and above average pass protectors.
OC Richburg is one of the 3 best centers in the league already. Even if he improves just a a shade, he is already a probowl caliber player.
LG J. Jerry went to Bentley's AZ OL man 'development' program or something like that. That to me means he wants it, he wants to be better and worked his ass off to improve. Clearly, he wants one last nice contract as he is 30 and a UFA at season's end. He is a massive guy so the fact that he is not very good run blocking is well surprising. Look for him to at least be better this year.
RT Newhouse is who he is. If he plays like he did last year, maybe with less mental errors due to experience in offense and continuity, well he is better than.
Unlike most, I believe this starting group is a stronger one than most in the NFL. But it must stay healthy because our depth sucks.

I am still holding out hope A. Williams, a bruising back with more speed than Jennings I believe, does work out this year.
I think the coaches now understand how to best utilize him with a FB. With improved FB / TE / OL blocking and his experience, maybe A. Williams does bust out.
I'd guess, due to rotation, 150-725 - superb stats for a bruiser type back. Just wish he was a better pass catcher so teams would be on their heals more.
A nice surprise would be to average more than one rushing TD per game. Last year they had just five all year, which is just brutal.
With FB Johnson blocking; with improved TE play and blocking; with an improved left side of the OL and especially entire OL continuity; well, I have to believe we'll have at least a TD a game on the ground. I'm hoping for no less than 20 TD's at RB, to be honest, as that would mean our redzone offense really, really stepped up.
The big problem we have at RB is that we have a "solid" bunch but no true burners. I think our run game will be about time of possession, about mixing it up. One guy who could be a force if he learns and is used correctly is RB A. Williams. Can he bust out with FB Johnson and improved blocking in front of him?
Can rookie RB Perkins be slowly worked into the lineup and be a force by the last quarter of the season? We shall see but I think our run game will be vastly improved.

Nassib won't get a big contract from anyone if he never starts a game for us. Also, when I wrote this, I thought he was signed through 2017 but it is only 2016 so tradeable isn't a word I'd use again.

It's an interesting sub plot to the season IMV. Has any team given a starting QB contract to a career backup who hasn't played a regular season game? Short of situations when an assistant coach or OC changed teams and brought a career backup QB with him (extremely unlikely from the Giant's staff) it's unprecedented.
The consensus here on BBI is that Nassib will leave. But really we have no idea if he will get a "starting QB" type offer.
Looking at Eli's age I'd like it for the Giants to keep him, but have no clue what $ that will take.
