Brazilian police arrested 10 people who allegedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group on social media and discussed possible attacks during the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, officials said Thursday. Justice Minister Alexandre de Moraes said in the capital, Brasilia, that 10 suspects had been detained and two more were being sought. All are Brazilian, and one is a minor. The gender of the people was not given. Police acted because the group discussed using weapons and guerrilla tactics to potentially launch an attack during the Olympics, which begin Aug. 5, Moraes said. However "they were complete amateurs and ill-prepared" to actually launch at attack, Moraes said. "A few days ago they said they should start practicing martial arts, for example." Still, Moraes said even disorganized groups should be taken seriously. |

The aquatic biohazard that is their waterfront and the obviously ill-prepared locations do that enough.
You should really start paying attention to the things going on around you in the world. Ignorance is a bad look.

I bet there are a lot of these terrorist groups (and lone wolf types) that are planning stuff to do F up RIO when everyone is watching. Its not Rio's fault. This would be the case no matter where the olympics are held. Just the way the world is now.

But the fact that everything, including planning and security, has be FUBAR thus far suggests their chances for success are much higher than they should be.
People always say these events are going to be a disaster but they usually work out fine (not flawless).
it is borders of brazil argentina and Paraguay
this place has always been a hot bed of islamic terrorism
many arabs own electronic stores in paraguay so brazilians and argentina's go there to get cheaper tax free products
these guys have been funding terrorism for years
hard to believe but right after 9 11 we almost sent US troops down there
bad news for olympics
