I don't they always say don't shoot the messenger since he's not really all that important to the overall point of the message, but in instances like this, the messenger not knowing how to properly deliver the message really takes away from the message itself...so we apologize if we're figuratively shooting you.

so you deliberately made it more difficult for people to get to the content you wanted them to see and then wonder why people are giving you grief for it?
You, the presenter, are trying to convey a message to us, the audience. You, the presenter, are responsible to deliver the message in a way that is accessible and is easily understood. It's called effective communication.
It was a good message that you failed to deliver in a good way. Instead of digging in and starting your usual Motown vs the world routine, you should have just deleted and reposted it with a link. If you want people to watch something, and it's worth watching, then make it easy for them.
Or just spear their eyes with a pencil. Either one...
the link ... not all URLs must be hyperlinked it is a choice by the presenter ... I chose not to ... however does that make the message any less valid? No.
You act as if people had to download something. Actually users that decided to troll put in more effort to do that.

Actually...I want to know the reason why you decided purposely not to hyperlink it. Just curious since you are really digging your feet in on this one.

Can you provide a little bit of explanation as to why you deliberately chose not to hyperlink? I am really curious.
Forget the hyperlink issue...How about meeting us know what you want to help me understand. Do you want me to understand how wine is made? What's the secret of life? How to play the piano in three easy steps?
Even if there was a hyperlink, what message are you t trying to convey

Actually from what it sounds like, he knows how to link. It's just that he purposely refused to link it to simplify it for others.
That there's always conflict and unnecessary bitchfesting that otherwise is just a whole waste of time in peoples lives.
Don't understand posting something, and then focus on to just to have conflict their audience.
I think you're reading too much in to this, my friend. I think the op didn't link properly and instead of just deleting and making it easier(and the way linking is generally done on this site)he dug in.
but you set yourself up for this by not linking. Yes, it's important. Despite the BBI interface, it's not 1990 anymore and everything should be hyperlinked.
It's almost as if you deliberately wanted a reason to get pissed off.
yeah that totally seems like a proportionate response for someone not knowing how to link properly
It was completely the right response.
Are we supposed to seriously debate something that more than half the people aren't going to link to? So what's left? You got it - making fun of the jackass.
1) The lack of a hyperlink would not have mattered if Motown was not already perceived as a word class pain in the ass who goes out of his was to be obstinate and with whom it is virtually impossible to hod reasonable conversation,
2) The link contains an extraordinarily mixed message. As one of the commentors notes:
Quote:
I don't doubt that Tim Scott has experienced the type of racial profiling, frustration and pain he described in his speech on the Senate floor. But I wonder how he reconciles his frustration and pain with belonging to a political party that has very often presented itself as diametrically opposed to solutions regarding racial justice and virulently anti-black. He has colleagues within his party in South Carolina who were adamantly opposed to simply removing the Confederate flag from the Statehouse ground (which, as important an action as it was, did very little to change the lived realities of black people in South Carolina) and who have abysmal records on racial justice.
I'm not saying that the Democratic Party is perfect on these issues; but in a state like South Carolina, there is DEFINITELY a major differential in terms of policy and openness. Republicans are, for the most part, just not willing to HEAR/SEE/ENTERTAIN this in a state like South Carolina. Maybe I could see less of a differential between individual Democrats and Republicans on racial justice in a state like New York that isn't a "flyover state," but that is just not the reality in South Carolina.
And, just the day before this speech, he voted against nominating the first black woman to be the librarian of Congress.
The speech feels incredibly disingenuous given his voting record and his party's consistently anti-black policy positions.
Yes that's political. But most of Scott's party would attack him if he went three words further in his discussion: Black Lives Matter.
if you're fighting for equality and against being judged based on the color of your skin, you vote for a nominee based on qualifications, not skin color.
saying basically, "he didn't even vote for one of his own", is really silly considering, no?
Even if the qualification is something as simple as,
What the fuck I'm supposed to understand? The thread title sux, there's no synopsis about what this crappy thread is about and the op was too fucking lazy to link whatever the hell he is failing to express. Ponderous fucking ponderous

It's more difficult then simply having pasted the link in the box that makes a hyperlink (which you know how to do but chose not to)

The point made in the link is actually an excellent one, imo: even a black who happens to be a Senator gets stopped for being black.
The problem is the two messengers: Motown and Scott.
