As of yesterday it was Lisbon to Barcelona to Nice to Amsterdam to Mainz (this weekend i think) to Berlin to Prague to Budapest to Croatia (not sure which town) to Greek Islands (September) to Asia (not sure all the stops).
We've always lived in a world where one could fuck it up for thousands. But now these asshole individuals do it with no remorse.
This is a deep issue about humanity at its core, not simply politics or religion. Weird times.
Privacy vs. Safety. That's THE issue in the world for us 1st world assholes. I can't even imagine the "microcameras everywhere including toilets" world I'm gonna be living in 20 years. That's gonna suck. But these dumbasses who are doing this are speeding up that process.
on a side and more lighthearted note (kind of), check out Black Mirror on Netflix. It speaks to the point you made about 20 years from now, and after watching a couple episodes it really makes you think about the realities of tech/security in the not too distant future.
But this is what terrorism does; creates an atmosphere of fear. Enough fear creates people 'frozen' at home; which creates jobs lost; which produces economic collapse, destroys countries; terrorists 'win' without significant further violence.
