please feel free to post your questions for others to answer.

If you are picking 6,7 or 8 in a 10 team league, which rb/wr combo would you rather have?

Peterson/Allen Robinson
Hopkins/Charles
Julio/Martin
Miller/Green

Right now I think that I would take Peterson/Robinson or Charles/Hopkins.

standard non ppr league.

sorry
PPR?

.
I doubt Julio would be there
leatherneck570 : 7/22/2016 3:40 pm : link
So Peterson and Robinson would be the safest bet I think.
I don't like Hopkins that high In a standard
leatherneck570 : 7/22/2016 3:41 pm : link
And JC is a health risk
doubt Julio is there
giants#1 : 7/22/2016 3:53 pm : link
1. AP/Robinson
2. Hopkins/Charles

3. Green/Miller

Why not use your other fantasy football thread you created to post this question? We're still having active discussions there and might be better to have one thread instead of cluttering the board with several.
I love AJ Green

Miller just presents too many ??? Imo
love Green too
giants#1 : 7/22/2016 4:15 pm : link
but he's a notch below Hopkins/Julio and not far enough ahead of Robinson to make up for the giant drop off from AP to Miller.
I have AJ higher than Hopkins.

I had no idea it was still going on...It was from 4 days ago. I will have to read it to see what people have been talking about.

And why do Met fans (and me for yankee threads) clog up the board with like 2-3 posts a day for the mets?

Why do all the threads and most of the commentary about who to take in the first round or two. Championships are won by picking gemsfrom seemingly like players in middle rounds. I would like to see some talk about that kind of thing.

for example - Last year I got D Johnson, Baldwin, A Robinson, Eifort, and Gurly later in the draft and won the league. Two of my higher picks Stafford and CJ Anderson were disappointing
Do you have a specific question about the middle/later rounds?
YAJ2112 : 7/23/2016 12:15 pm : link
If so, no one is stopping you from asking it and I'm sure you'd get some discussion from the regular posters on these threads.

It's much easier to discuss the early rounds, since the list of players available will be pretty similar regardless of league makeup. The problem with discussing generalities as you get later in the draft is that things will be much different from league to league, whether it be on the mix of people in the league or any differing scoring/lineup rules. So unless there are specific questions, the general discussions about these players start to lose more and more relevance when applied to any specific league

For example, you say you got Stafford with an early pick and Gurley late last year. In my leagues, Gurley was going in the 4th round most of the time and Stafford in the double digit rounds. So without knowing why those players went in your league the way they did, it's hard to take the general advice you'd see discussed here and apply it to your specific league.
yeah

Stafford went undrafted in my league last year.

Fair assessment. My league is a little different - I got Gurley in the equivalent of the 4th round. All the others later than that.

Stafford was a bad example.

One thing we do which I think is pretty interesting is we have an auction for the first 5 players on each team. $100 of bidding for your first five. It means that you can get anyone you want if you pay enough. We snake draft after that for the rest of the team.
I'm not sure how many mocks everyone here does
leatherneck570 : 7/24/2016 11:39 am : link
but it looks like Julio has been dropping to 5/6 since the Bell news broke. AP and Gurley have been going top 5.

I have determined I am getting one of the top 3 WRs since I pick 3rd. Now the dilemmma is the 2nd pick. IN the mocks I have done Bell is still taken before me. I am usually left with the following in PPR

K. Allen
Jeffrey
Martin
Evans
Cooper
Rawls
Freeman
Lacy

Ideally, Id like a Martin and either Allen/Cooper. I am not high on freeman or lacy at all.
I have Beckham
pjcas18 : 7/24/2016 11:53 am : link
Cooper and Gurley in my keeper league, love the Beckham/Cooper combo in PPR.
I would go...
BleedingBlue2 : 7/24/2016 4:35 pm : link
Cooper or Allen, but lean towards Cooper.

It does make me think though... what does everyone think of Allen this year? He was on a torrid pace until he lacerated his spleen last year.
