NFT: Keurig question

I like the keurig for convenience but feel guilty with all of the waste from the plastic pods. I would like to start using the reusable kcup container. My question. When you grind the beans should it be at same setting as automatic drip or should it be a little more coarse? I recall grinding once as if it was automatic drip and there was too much sediment at the bottom of the cup.
