NFT: Teeth Extraction

tbonfig : 7/23/2016 7:18 pm
Just had four teeth pulled (3 wisdom and one molar) at 130. Still bleeding and using the gauze (switching every 30 minutes).

One of the top five worst experiences. Between hearing the cracking of the teeth to not being able to eat yet. Wtf

I digress.

It sucked. Especially since the guy broke one of my teeth and had to go back in and get the rest of the pieces. My whole face was swollen and bruised. I was spitting out mouthfuls of blood for about 3 days. I had 2 of them impacted which makes healing take forever too. Took me about 2 weeks to be able to eat normal food again. Worst part I remember was opening my mouth and feeling the stitches tightening up like they wanted to pop, I remember my friends coming over and making me laugh and it never hurt so bad to laugh. Stay away from the painkillers unless you absolutely need them, I got sick off them especially when you can't get food in your stomach to absorb them.
I had four mpacted wisdom

Apparently I had long roots which meant he had to break all of the teeth. I can't imagine anyone going through that without novicane.

Did any of you go under? Hindsight 20/20 I may have chosen that path.

I had the gas to knock me out but they still use Novocaine as a local anesthetic, not real anesthesia like with more serious surgeries, but I woke up during the procedure, still felt nothing, but I was awake, I remember hearing the crunching sound and seeing the tray with all the blood, teeth parts, and other surgical waste from my mouth, and the dentist asked me "do you want to keep the teeth?" and obviously I couldn't talk with that clamp thing in my mouth to keep it propped open, WTF? why would he ask me something when he knows I can't possibly answer. asshole.

I was younger, but don't think I'd go through that with just Novocaine or even worse no Novocaine or gas.
I had gas. Was awake.

I remember laughing during parts of the procedure. The procedure didn't bother me, but the aftermath sucked. I had to be taken back for more shots later in the day because the pain was so bad. I remember trying to take some of the pain meds after having chocolate pudding (that may have been the next day). Ended up with projectile vomiting that felt like a scene out of the Exorcist.
I had novacaine
