NFT: IOC: No blanket ban on Russian Olympic team

dpinzow : 7/24/2016 11:03 am
Individual sports federations will make decisions on each Russian team, like when the IAAF banned Russia's track team

No full Russian ban - ( New Window )

Caved. They want ratings and some semblance of legitimacy.

IF you want legitimacy, then you ban the team.

Murdered a few relatives, paid some cash. Just the way the world works I suppose.

I won't be watching the Rio farce with or without the Russians.

If IOC is going to punt on doping decisions and send back to federations, then why exactly is there an IOC? #justasking

a cap in his head. I always distrusted the evil bastid but once he had his political opponent murdered, I felt he, too, should die.

What a piece of human shit.

I agree. Russia should be banned

What I meant to say is legitimacy in regards to all of the nation's attending. Not having any Russian athletes would have a huge negative impact. The IOC is all about image

Yes, but having known cheaters is not a good image either. I think banning all the whole Russian team would more legitimize the games and provide them with a stronger image.

This just highlights their corruption and weakness.
i found it sad and funny
