He came to my store to pick up some golf accessories and apparel. Took the time to take pictures with some of my staff and chat a little bit. Super nice guy.
Funny side note - My cashier forgot to take off the inktag on the pants he bought, but he wore them on the course anyway. Came back in the store later that day to get the tag off. Most customers flip out over that (understandably, of course), but he couldn't have been nicer about it. I'm really happy for him today.
as far as suspicions of anything else, let the haters drone on. He's in and deservedly so. It's the Bonds numbers from age 35 that deserve the scrutiny and criticism they're still getting today.
to his first baseball game (AA in Binghamton) with my Dad. Still have video of that afternoon, where my boy wore his Mets hat and Piazza shirt.
Years ago my son asked, "If Piazza ever gets voted into the Hall, do you think we will go?" I always said, "I don't see why not ... would be a blast."
It's fun to come through for your kids.
Yesterday, my 18-year-old son and I left the house around 6 a.m. and spent the day together in Cooperstown. Toured the Hall of Fame in the morning, then soaked up the sun and fit into the huge crowd to see Mike inducted in person.
As a baseball fan Dad, I cannot imagine a better day than I had with my boy yesterday. Just a terrific time.
Piazza was a hero to Mets fans. How can we ever forget what he did for the team AND NYC.
Both are terribly deserving. Great day for both. No quibbles, two no brainers.

He was my favorite player on my favorite edition of the MEts. I loved Leiter, Robin and the long first baseman, but Mike was the guy.
I think intangibles count and that dramatic hom4 run after 911 alone should get him consideration.
Zero evidence. Look at the stats, natural career arc. Well deserved honor, Clemens, Bonds, McGuire need not apply

If piazza is in McGwire Sosa etc should be in as well. It's long been know piazza was a juicer.

If Barry Bonds had retired in 1999, he'd still be a HOFer and a better player than Mike Piazza.

Made no sense for him to cheat, he was probably making the HOF anyway. And Clemens already had three Cy Youngs.
