He participated in mini-camp. They would never announce anything because it is a fluid situation. He will be introduced to more and more to see if he can handle it. If he can they will continue to increase his workload. If not they will slow it down.
Cruz is going to be at camp. And yes, the expectation is that he will participate int he conditioning drills and be cleared to practice, though whether or not he goes the full way int eh beginning remains to be seen.

Thanks for the confirmation. I really have faith he bounces back.
Almost treating anything we get from him as gravy at this point...
easy guy to root for but tough to count on him for production.
Tough to believe he'll stay healthy given his overall history.
I do believe he's recovered from the patella and calf. The only question is has he lost a shade of this and shade of that, ability he couldn't afford to lose? Until we see him in pads we just won't know.

Pat keep in mind MacAdoo and the staff may have ulterior motives to limit Cruz somewhat starting out - to give Geremy Davis and Sterling Shepard more scrimmage reps. Not to mention all the WRs vying for the 6th WR roster spot.
Given what we imagine the potential of this crop of UDFAs and FAs have, holding onto the wrong guy could haunt them down the road.
Even with so little game experience in Mac's offense so far, VC has shown himself to be a very fast learner. Hopefully he will go full bore in all conditioning activities but held back a bit in scrimmages IMO.
He essentially has not participated in an NFL practice since his injury in 2014. Throughout that time we have heard numerous times from him he is ready to participate.
When he actually participates in a practice and then does it again, that will be news.
I am generally very positive with the Giants, but with Cruz I have zero expectations with him getting on the field. If he does it will be a bonus
I think by "is he going to go in camp," he meant "is he going to be ready to play."
Just a hunch.
