Listened to this before as I try listen to Ross Tuckers podcasts every time he puts a new one up ,Good interview and amazing story .Rooting for him in camp that’s for sure .NFL Network did a good hour long story on him ,the kid the Vikings drafted Mortiz Boringer and the tight end from England who we tried out but didn’t sign
He asked Dable about the sports he played growing up, and then paid virtually no attention to his answer but instead pressed him about playing soccer and what sport is better and blah blah blah.
Dable actually responded Tae Kwon Do when he was very young, from 9-13, then handball, and finally soccer but really only as a pickup sport on fields everywhere, not in an organized league...
Now the Tae Kwon Do part naturally caught my attention, because it will definitely teach you things and prepare you for American football in ways that soccer doesn't at all. Contact, obviously, and perhaps mental discipline that eventually can be applied to learning a playbook.
Handball too is a really interesting one re hand eye coordination training.
But pickup soccer was what Tucker focused on. The one interesting place that led to on Tucker's dopey agenda was when Dable answered why he likes American football vs European.
He said he doesn't like the way soccer players fall down at the lightest touch (flopping don't all Americans hate that shit?) Whereas watching American football he saw players who, after breaking an ankle, stand up and walk off the field under their own power.
Good to know even a Frenchy can see what bullshit soccer players regularly pull to try to get penalty shots!
And I think we have a tough guy on this team at some point. For now, he's afraid he won't get enough reps to be noticed. He also admitted the playbook is huge in comparison to what he is used to, and the biggest challenge for him is learning the playbook and adjustments well enough so that he can play fast, up to his full ability.
Ross gave props to Arizona and Seattle for trying him out and he goes maybe the giants too ,Um we signed him Ross lol ,He seemed to always be a Giants hater even as far back as when he did the football show on yes ,He always took shots at them
