but they're adding Hasselback, Woodson, Moss and maybe Dilfer to replace Carter, Ditka, Keyshawn and now Jackson. That's a much-improved lineup. Moss will be the clown of the group, but the other three are pretty sharp guys.
the few times I have seen him he seems to actually try to offer actual insight. Whether he will be good or not is yet to be seen but I don't see him going the clown route. I guess if he begins to fail who knows.

Agreed, the few times I've seen Moss he's come across as reasonably professional and well spoken, not the usual clown show
and I even really liked him back in the old days...
You nailed it: "back in the old days." Then he got caught up with the Bermn/ESPN Schtick. The problem was hat he was terrible at it. Awkward, unfunny, didn't belong. He would have done well with NFLN, had they continued with their promising beginning rather than ape ESPN..
a lot of credit. He's damn near transformed himself. I recall him as being virtually unintelligible with that WV mush-mouth and youthfulness, but now, yeah he's actually well spoken. Haven't seen him that much and I'm not real sure of his content, but he's better than being the clown. Good to see, good for him.
on a panel of arrogant, bombastic, and not very bright colleagues. He will be missed, if for no other reason than that the choir of dildos he's left behind are still going to be on set, making all of our IQs diminish just a little bit every time we watch, but now without the respite of Tom Jackson telling them to STFU.
ESPN for anything but games in years, and I fast-forward through everything but the game. I can't comment on how he has been recently, but in the past I always liked him on air.
There was a time when I had ESPN on constantly when home, I really don't know how long it has been since I last watched. I haven't since my 9 year old was born but I had already not been watching for a while by then.

Holy shit!
Your wife gave birth to a 9 year old? That's some uterus.
well said. Don't really have an opinion on him one way or the other.
IIRC his final game was Super Bowl XXI, when he hurt his knee early and missed most of the game.
Was he awful or did you just not like him? difference

I met him last year and really was impressed at how well spoken he was and how humble he's become and he also had a great personality.
He seems to be one guy who matured and transformed himself.
I think he'll be very good on ESPN
I always liked Tom Jackson and thought he and Berman had some more realistic views of the NFL.
New lineup is interesting however.
