NFT: Off-season special: most beautiful actresses ever.

manh george : 7/26/2016 11:46 am
This is a pretty good list. Hard to quarrel too much with most of the ranking. I would put Rita Hayworth at her peak considerably higher, but that's a quibble. I also don't put Audrey Hepburn nearly as high--just not my type, although i see the attraction.

Rita at her finest

How do you quarrel with that? Unless you don't like gingers.

Link - ( New Window )
some of the rankings are screwy

Liz Hurley below the likes of Liv Tyler and Jessica Biel? Crazy. Glad to see Jennifer Connolly on there, she's always been a favorite. Ann-Margaret and Jacqueline Bisset should be higher, they were absolute knockouts in their primes.
Grace Kelly in Rear Window...

Charlize Theron and Michelle Pfeiffer

Subtract Kim Novak and Ursula Andress. Add Donna Reed and Lee Remick (two under-rated beauties)

Jacqueline Bisset, take 2
Isla Lund...

Always thought Ingrid Bergman set the standard for screen beauty in Casablanca. I met Jenifer Connelly when she was at Yale and I would serve her coffee at the local cafe. Aside from my wife, Connelly's without any doubt the most beautiful woman I ever met in person.
I thought..
FatMan in Charlotte : 7/26/2016 12:14 pm : link
Grace Kelly was damn hard to top for sheer beauty and elegance, and Liz Taylor in her younger days was gorgeous.
The list is a fail too many on it that should be and to many not on

Grace Kelly

Rita Hayworth tops. I always watch Gilda when it's on (which was most recently Saturday night on ch 13).

great pair of togas. And great everything else
I'd put Diane Lane,J-Lo,Milla Jovovich, and Eva Mendes higher

How about Rachel Ward,Kathleen Turner, and Faye Dunaway

Captain Blood.
Don't love Audrey Hepburn as all time #1.
Crispino : 7/26/2016 12:39 pm : link
Prefer Grace Kelly. Sure don't like Brigitte Bardot that high. Rita Hayworth and Ann Margaret were awesome in their prime.
Diane Lane should definitely be higher

I like Diane Lane too. And she has aged like fine wine.
Victor in CT : 7/26/2016 12:41 pm : link

Katherine Ross belongs somewhere on that list

Here's one you might not have heard of: Martha Vickers.
Klaatu : 7/26/2016 12:55 pm : link

Best known for her role as Carmen Sternwood in The Big Sleep, she was a favorite pin-up girl during WW II.

Her movie career never really took off, but she did work steadily in TV in it's early days.
All of the above
AP in Halfmoon : 7/26/2016 1:07 pm : link
I'll add Sophie Marceau as a personal favorite. I would watch paint dry if Jennifer Connelly was involved.
I can't really access the list right now...
RC02XX : 7/26/2016 1:07 pm : link
but my all time favorite actress, who isn't the most well known is Julia Ormond.

Sabrina

One of my favorite yard sale finds was an anthology of Yank Magazine from WWII. There are a lot of those pinup girls who were gorgeous but never achieved stardom as actresses.
you guys pooping on Audrey Hepburn are crazy

Farrah Fawcett....

I agree. Some of you guys are simply naming "sexy" actresses or beautiful women who just act. If you want to talk about REAL BEAUTIFUL ACTRESSES, I would go with Natalie Wood, Audrey Hepburn and even Katharine Hepburn (she was gorgeous in "Philadelphia Story").

I just don't think she's #1. More like #5 or 6.

I also rank Maureen O'Hara pretty high.

Some of us just don't think Audrey Hepburn is better looking
Greg from LI : 7/26/2016 2:46 pm : link
than a lot of other actresses. No one's saying she wasn't beautiful, but this is the big leagues here. I definitely think she's nowhere near #1. 20-30 range, probably.

I'm guessing the reason she wasn't included was because she wasn't really in movies - her cameo in Super Troopers was the only thing I've ever seen her in other than Wonder Woman.

Underrated: Julia Louis-Dreyfus

It's a tossup
prh : 7/26/2016 3:12 pm : link
Between Grace Kelly and Ava Gardner. The fact that they were both sluts makes them even more appealing.

In the movie Mogambo they're fighting over Clark Gable
Two more faves.

Is Eva Marie-Saint missing from that list?

How about Dorothy Stratten? Horrible untimely death, but stunningly beautiful.
Rosalyn Sanchez was in Without a Trace, right?

NAK, NAK, NAK, I was gonna put I have no idea what Natalie Wood is even doing on that list!!!!!

Liz Taylor, b&w doesn't do her justice because of the amazing and almost unique color of her eyes not really blue, almost indigo. Those eyes and full head of dark hair were mind blowing in their time.

Audrey Hepburn what an anorexic stick.

Give me Sophia Loren 24/7 baby.

Zeta-Jones too, grrrrrrr.

I guess I like darker gals.

Speaking of which, is Halle Berry on there? She is very, very fine too.

Piffle? You been watching The George F. Will Sports Machine? "Piffle? Or not piffle?"

Anyway, the Charger was the real star of the chase:

[quote]I’ll tell you this,” said Max Balchowsky, “I was really impressed with the Mustang after I got done with it. I didn’t think it’d make that much difference beefing it up. Later, we took both cars out and went playing around with them over by Griffith Park (near Los Angeles). The Dodge, which was practically stock, just left the Mustang like you wouldn’t believe.” Ron Riner has similar recollections. “The Charger ran rings around the Mustang. We trimmed the tires down (on the Charger), we practically made them down to bicycle tires to try and handicap Hickman, and Bill just run them.” [quote]
