It's Agent speak..Civil is not patching things up..Let's see what happens when they actually start talking money/extension
Exactly. What do you want your agent to say? He isn't happy? He won't be his best self with 49'ers now that he's back?
Honestly, would anyone be totally blown away by surprise if the 49'ers trade Davis to the Giants for a conditional draft pick tomorrow? Coach Solari is interviewed and states he spoke with Anthony himself and it was a "GO" in terms of making the move? I wouldn't be surprised at all. I just don't think that it will actually happen based on the fact that Davis may be a bit of headcase. LOL.
says an OL is the goods, you weigh your options and hopefully pursue him, imo
Exactly, OL coach Solari knows RT Anthony Davis because he personally coached him when he was active for the 49'ers. If Davis has patched things up with the 49ers all well and good but that doesn't preclude the possibility of the SF 49'ers wanting to trade him anyway.
I'd love to see an upgrade at RT and added depth but it would have to be at the right price AND more importantly we'd have to be sure RT Davis really WANTS to PLAY. If he is just looking to cash in one more year and goes through the motions I don't want him. Who would?

I haven't been following it that closely, but do they need to talk about money? He's under contract and there's been no mention of his "unretirement" being conditional.
There is no reason to believe this has been anything but a game of chicken in which the Niners won. Just like when Strahan tried to force the Giants to trade him to the Redskins in 2007. There was no renegotiation, no trade, Strahan eventually caved and the rest is history.

How different Strahan's life would have been if he had "won".
How are next year's draft's RT prospects?
Deal to be announced shortly....
