Thought for sure DC would hit another home run in the animated department and possibly it's biggest home run to date with one of their best graphic novels.
But it seems to be getting mixed reviews, haven't seen it yet so I can't comment. Little disappointed if some of these reviews are true being that it's one of my favorite stories.
Has anyone on here seen it?

Yeah and Conroy returned to voice Batman
First, they didn't want the part where Joker puts Barbara in poses and takes pics to drive Gordon nuts.
So they removed that part and also tried to add more to Barbara's character with a prelude...in which she and Batman screw.
Which pissed them off even more especially considering that their relationship has always been more of father/daughter type in the comics.
Whatever. I think getting all pissed about fiction because of how people are portrayed is fucking stupid to begin with. It's fiction.
Good to hear.. I'll definitely rent it first before buying

I always thought the point of what Joker did to Barbara (and Gordon, depending on your opinion of what happened) was to show how completely vile of a human he is. Despite the backstory lending some sympathy to the character, you really feel that the Joker might actually be the devil himself.

Pretty cowardly to change the story to appease people. Lame.

I agree.
Same people who were going to praise G**********s no matter what.
The whole batgirl thing didn't bother me, and I took it just as a "people will have no idea who she is, so let's give her a story" Making her have a huge crush on batman, and him seemingly not care..that was wrong on a few levels -- getting back to the father/daughter type relationship in the comics). Even the batgirl story line kind of just ended. It seemed to me there should have been a lot more to it than there was.
The Killing Joke story line was pretty much out of the book, but it didn't have the darkness the book had. It was absolutely cleaned up for the movie. With an 'R'R rating I was really expecting it to go the other way and be a little more evil
